I`m not experienced with making DLL`s and have some questions.

I heard there are many types of DLL`s. What is the differences between them?

How does a DLL really get linked to an executable program? How is Windows handling this and how do the executable program "know" where to "find" the code in the DLL.

I have used DLL`s, by using header files and lib files. I guess the header file is a "script" that various compilers understands.

If u have some good links that explains much of the aspects of DLL i would be thankful.
