I'm trying to put images over sprites, but draw sprites first seems to make all the sprites disappear.

Has anyone else had this problem ?

For some reason, the CLS command is the cause of the problem...

If you want to see what this code (more or less) is part of, head over to the Program Announcement section...

Whats this got to do with the value of pi? Oh, you mean the title sequence!

It looks like the 'draw sprites first' command makes the sync command draw the sprites as its last step ... and then you clear the screen.

I've tried all combinations of different commands, including using a backdrop, but I can't draw on top of a sprite and clear the screen at the same time.

The only thing I can think of trying (which you're not going to like) is drawing to another bitmap, grabbing that as an image, and displaying it as a sprite on top of all other sprites - Slow!

We probably need to ask Lee for more control over the rendering sequence.

Indeed - this came about due to the fact that images were being placed behind sprites... Got around it by not using images...

I suppose if the only thing you are displaying is pre-drawn text or graphics, you can display them all as sprites.
