its a good notice that thanks to DarkBasic Professional, DarkBasic itself has suffered greatly as is currently being for the most part ignored.

Yet it is still be used alot more than Professional is ... for this reason i'm wondering if perhaps the DarkBasic Professional Editor could be released with the Legacy support for programming DarkBasic Standard and Enhanced in the same way - perhaps even with an enhancements checker on boot up so you don't get any annoying "unable to compile" messages because you're trying to use features that arn't active.

Development is going slow on my own IDE because quite frankly i don't have the same kind of knowlage ... and i figure atleast another month of work before my IDE will be in a fit state for the public.
However it shouldn't take more than a day or so to atleast just edit the DBpro editor to be cutdown to take over as DarkEdit 2.0 surely?

As it stands i tend to use Pro's Editor more and more for both languages, but still it is kinda frustrating sometimes when i code something and each time i want to run the compiler i have to run my manual command prompt of it - or use Ciyanna and find that it is getting a bug with itself before even reaching Compiling.

well just would be nice if we could have the editor do both to make everyones life a little easier

well i'm kinda hoping if enough people actually say they want legacy support then Guy will ignore who its comming from
as DBS are effectively only working on the compiler and media, and RGT is working on the IDE ... would probably be a waste of time emailing Lee
