Hey, I've been playing around with terrains. I am curious how you make them bigger? How can you scale the size of the terrain.
Plus another question, how is the orientation of X,Y and Z in Dark Basic.
X is left to right,
Y is Up and Down
And Z is going in and coming out.
Am I correct on this or is it different?
Oh and by the way, is the Dark Basic World format suppose to make terrains easier to make? With terrains, it seems hard to do a small round hill. I will keep messing around with it to see if I can get a round hill.
Any advice on this?
SoulMan

Thanks.

Hi mate,

sorry mate, i dont know the answer to that one, am new to darkbasic. woundering if you can help, i need to build a virtual city or a shcool in darkbasic cos am doing a game where its about road improvments. I am doing a project in darkbasic and am doing a game, where a car is tralleving around the roads and cars are passing by. My project is about 'road improvemnets/child safety, so that when i've made my game, the user can drive around in different conditions (i.e. raining day, night day , variables where you press a command and a new road builds up etc.)

Soulman:
I've not played with terrains yet, but there doesn't seem to be any way to scale them. You might want to try playing around with matrix's instead.

Orientation,
x, more positive to the right
y, more positive upwards
z, more positive forwards

DBW is only a thought in Lee's and Mike's heads at the moment, so no-one has any idea what it will be capable of yet.
