Install the 1.13 Upgrade from the web site. It doesn't come included with the Electronic version (the one you bought).

[Standard Upgrade Advice, someone's gotta take this advice and sticky it or put it somewhere, PLEASE]

1. DBC Upgrade.
Upgrade DBC to v1.13 - There's already a sticky about this, I think.

2. DirectX Upgrade.
DBC uses DirectX for all the input, sound, music, networking/internet and graphics functions, so it's pretty important to keep it up to date.
Some people have reported problems with using DirectX 9.0c, but I am not among that number, and recommend you download the latest version.
http://www.Microsoft.com/directx/

3. Graphics card & sound card drivers.
Basically, the middle bit - the bit that allows Windows and DirectX to talk to the graphics and sound cards, also pretty important.
For ATI cards: http://www.ati.com
Just go to your manafacturer's website, and look under 'Drivers', 'Downloads' or 'Support'.

And if it still doesn't work, THEN come back and complain.

Also, your subject is just ASKING for flames - saying something's 'pretty s***' isn't a good way to address an entire forum's worth of fans of the product, and then asking them for help. >.<

Also also, are you sure of your code?
Post it.

@nvc450 :

I think you should get dbpro
It has alot more features and a good IDE
And dbc code isn`t hard to convert since dbc code and dbpro code is nearly the same. Sometimes you even don`t need to change anything!.-) But if you need help to conert your code to dbpro then just add me to your msn and i will help you

@nvc450: Personal id stick with DBC until you get pretty confident with it, yeah there are limits but there are in dbpro too, the real skill in programming is to work with your limits and make things that still really impresses people.
The DarkBasic manual is good...where as the DBPro one is ...shall we say, crap...so i seriously advise, save the money...learn DBC..kick some ass...then move to DBpro and go further.
Good Luck

Sorry, you'll have to ignore Coolest Dealz, turns out he's a well-known ( but disguised ) troll.

Pretty much everything he said here was just to spread a bad word about DarkBASIC.

Locked.

Jess.
