I don't blame Bush for everything, but what I do blame him for his the damn airport security. It's ridiculous and needs to be changed, can't wait till the next election, then we might get somebody with some common sense about the whole thing.

I blame bush for us not being able to afford to buy 1000 litres of oil when we ordered it the time before last. Oh and I blame him for the however many american soldiers die in Iraq every day.

Ho ho ho!!!! Even considering the fact that gallons are *slightly* different in the UK (imperial gallon), we pay almost £1 for a *litre*. Last time I looked I filled up with 98 for about 92p a litre. Thats about $1.76. Per *litre*. Arf. Apparently they can get a barrel of oil to the pumps for less money in the UK than on average in the US. We pay a *lot* of tax.

Heh, had to love the news this morning. They said the price of crude oil had gone up 50% or so in the last year, but luckily because we are taxed to the eyeballs then it only meant something like 50% increase on 6% of the price of our petrol. Hurrah for taxes, so we don't feel the pain so much!

On the positive side we don't tend to end up with too many monster cars with no handling properties. My car is considered a bit of a petrol guzzler at 20mpg for instance. And thats with a turbo bolted on. Zoom zoom zoom etc. Loving that petrol bill (about $73 for a full tank - and it doesn't last long in my car).

Cheers

Ouch, that sucks.

- Price of theatre tickets - What's up with this crap? We have this cycle that keeps repeating and repeating. For a few years at a time the movie tickets are expensive, around $10-20 depending where you go, but on Tuesdays and afternoon matinees it's around $6.50-$10. That's fine, and that's how I like it. But then they change the whole system and advertise a FLAT RATE for ALL times. No more cheap Tuesdays or cheap matinees, and the price is ONLY $7-10. That's great in a sugar-coated way, I guess. But then in a few years they'll introduce CHEAP TUESDAYS and jack the regular price up even higher. Do they think we're idiots and we don't see a pattern? Why not just leave it the way it is?

P.S. - No more Bush bashing, guys, or someone will lock this thread (history repeats itself).

No, you said you blame him for the tsunamis and stubbing your toe.

And where do you get your information?

It's called aftermath. Besides, all three of those things you stated were mentioned as arguements to go. There was not ONE reason, there were many.

This is how it works, k?

A man plans an attack, he knows they'll come looking for him afterwards, so he develops a system of hiding himself long before he sends his monkeys, because he's a coward like that.

Another man makes threats, bribes inspectors, appears to have evidence of WMDs (as admitted by both Kerry and Bush) and doesn't think they'll actually come after him. They do. He gets caught in a spider hole.

Simply because media focus has shifted to Iraq, everyone thinks we have given up on Bin Laden and that there is no longer any fighting in Afghanistan. You, most other liberals and families of the 9/11 victims included.

Imagine a year later, Manhattan is bio-nuked. Here come the liberals and victims screaming, "You had all that intelligence and you did NOTHING! YOUR FAULT!! We should have taken them out!" Sound familiar?

I second that, even though my french is pretty bad, considering I only write at school. But I speak french out of school, and like fluent-like. But there's that bloody "english accent" anglo's have that drives me up a wall. Like when they say rou instead of rrrrrrroue. I had a teacher like that, I almost failed that class she was so bad(Accent.. evil.. can't ... consentrate ).

Some things I hate.

I will not elaborate heavily because I can not swear .

A. Hummers. Ugly.

B. Bad drivers. It's your own product, try supporting it.

C. ATi haters. They all deserve to die.

D. Pacifists and hippies (for/against Bush completely aside).

E. Bouncy happy feel-good songs, especially ones with overused rhymes, especially ones with a techo/dance theme.

F. Windows ME.

G. Red Hat.

H. Anime.

I. Partisan politicians.

J. Little shop of horrors. The most overrated movie of all time.

K. New games or applications without embedded 128x128 icons. It's been four years since that became standard. I mean really.

L. Blue screens of death.

M. Dead pixels on LCD monitors that are green instead of black.

N. Fast food.

O. Oil tankers (they are really transporting the black helicopters from CIA bases).

P. Hard shell tacos.

Q. Oil tankers hauling hard shell tacos.

R. Plush GUIs.

S. Sluggish game cursors.

T. Any particular console junkie.

U. Microsoft lovers.

V. Microsoft haters.

W. Microsoft.

X. Cold or unfresh coffee.

Y. Oversweet tea.

Z. Rabid badgers.

Well, that's the alphabet. I was just getting started

Anyway, gas prices tick me off, too. Gas is $2.30 here, $2.17 in New Jersey, and if you drive up to the gas stations near my local airport it's $2.70! I know why gas prices are skyrocketing but I won't get into any more political, religious, geological, or anything else that ends in -ical or -us debates in here

Hehehe same here. My buddy learned French from high school and University, and now he goes into "French mode" whenever he's drunk. So annoying.

On a side note:

Let's compare gas prices!

- Abbotsford (my city), just outside Vancouver: $0.69/litre. To convert to US gallon is 1 gallon = 3.8 litres, so we pay approx. $2.62CDN a gallon.
- Vancouver goes as high as $0.92/litre, which is $3.50CDN a gallon! That's ridiculous!

Hmmm. Let me see... I hate:-

1. Mobile telephones in american movies - they are always Motorola!!!! And normally out of date Motorolas at that. Don't get me wrong, I loved my StarTac, but what the hell are they doing in movies these days? (Must have last used mine in like the 20th century or so)

2. Having dinner in a restaurant with one person who doesn't believe in giving tips unless the service has been to the level of sexual satisfaction. Literally if the waitress is nice... Arrrggglleee.... so annoying....

3. Barryboy Vauxhall Novas ie. all *tuned* cars that haven't any engine modifications that have any effect on their 80bhp granny shopping trolley sh*twagon. Heh, a 20 year old salesman came round my house the other day and commented on how he liked my car (Turbo Subaru). He personally had a barryboy effort. Nearly made him cry when he found out I pay less than half the amount of insurance he does. One advantage of age They screw us royaly over here in the UK for motor insurance when your under 25 BTW.

4. People who talk a *lot* about GTA games, until it seems they believe they are living it, rather than, for example, getting some fresh air, eating, changing clothes, or sleeping.

Cheers

Well I hate:

- Rap music

- People that find rap music of good quality

- People that follw the rap craze

- People that call me a gay because I don't like rap music

- Gang members - Pathetic bastards whop think they're top sh** and more powerful than everyone else, cowards.

- People my age (teenagers) who whinge about breaking up with someone after a month, damnit people, youre only 14 for f's sake!!!

- The girl that has a big depresso fest 'cos I won't go out with her after 3 years of her liking me - I've said no for three years, GET OVER IT!

- Small people that have big ego's (no offense to shorter people, just some in particular) - the ones who try and drop you and when you can't be bothered to try they have a big ego trip and gloat over dropping you.

- Popular people who love to play all those stupid flash games on the net and then call the people like me who are learning to make them geeks.

- Popular people in general who demene us people with any knowledge of computers.

- People who call you a geek 'cos you try to get your school work done on time so you sit around and have a chat with your fellow fast finishers.

- All the dumbasses who call me a geek/nerd 'cos I actually understand the things in maths and science.

- All the dumbasses who screw around, don't listen to the teacher and then come running to me for answers 'cos the teacher won't help them. Then if I don't help them (usually the more popular people) I am the scum of the earth.

- Teachers who always underestimate my carpentry/science/math and general knowledge when doing practical activities.

- Teachers in general.

- Finally, anyone that calls me a geek just because I am smarter than them.

That just about covers it.

Oh, almost forgot - people that use abbreviations on msn like ppl, wat, ur, h8 etc etc. Why can't people be bothered typing the proper f'ing word?!

Gaming resources.

All: I'm removing ALL Bush/Iraq war posts at this point.

Matt Rock: Everyone wants to get the last word in a public argument-- you should have mailed in response as much as the next guy.

It's fairly ironic you keep bringing up the research issue when you a) do not provide sources for most of your information and b) decided to pigeonhole me, an independant, as a republican simply because of my stance on the Iraq war and politically correct Bush-bashing.

No real harm done. If you're interested in debate, why not start a new thread?

Point taken. But I did provide sources in my last, non-edited post because I knew someone was about to say that, although I imagined it was going to be Jimmy. I didn't know you were independant, I figured you were republican because you seemed to jump on the pro-war wagon. So my apologies to you. And thanks for leaving my little barrage of quotes at the end I love Bushisms... I have a calendar full of them.

Anyhoo... something that makes me mad that isn't related to a world leader, energy, or religion...

Non-smokers. Well, not all non-smokers, just the one's who feel it is their responsibility to "inform me" that smoking is bad for me. And I REALLY hate non-smokers who drink alchohol... now THAT is hypocritical, seeing as how alchohol is just as harmful.

I hate it when you search for "Free WAV samples" and you get everything except free wav samples! I want to make orchestra music, not crappy techno!

And I figured out how transistors work (for the most part), scratch one off my list.

I hate people who jump on the bandwagon for anything. People suddenly like crap for no reason, and those people who say "Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan SUCK" for no reason. I'm not saying they don't suck, i'm just saying they don't have a reason.

I hate Anime with all my hating heart. There is no reason to like it AT ALL. It's just a bunch of weirdly drawn characters in a cartoon with 5 - 7 frames total. In all the anime cartoons, the girls are wearing extremely short skirts, and the guys are extremely muscular.

I can't stand country music. It's just a guy with a guitar and a hick accent singing about Betty-Sue. My hate for hicks partly contributes to my hate of country.

Helping people is worthless? You know, I have created more useful posts than you know(and more than you would accept). Personal attacks like that are cheap and they only show your ignorance.

yes in my deleted post i hate country also because it is crappy music and is always depressing; like it is about a break up, or being at the bar, or just enough money to live
god everytime i hear it i just turn it off and had rather have silence(and i hate silence)
although i do not hate the country for it

- I don't like how the entire pop-music industry is changing to "yo yo chek diz mudda out, foo". Even the whities and asians are talking all "gangsta", as if it's an accent. Please.

- I hate how "geek" and "nerd" are becoming a quasi-cool image, and are almost always associated with computer people. Geek and nerd by definition are supposed to be just that--- geeks and nerds! Computers don't HAVE to be associated with that. I've met geek jocks and geek carpenters!

- I don't want my tax dollars spent on so-called "safe needle houses". They're popping up all over town and I for one think it's a very bad idea. I swear we're becoming too socialist for our own good. The government (i.e. taxpayers) is even paying prostitutes to sleep with the mentally disabled! Twisted.

- If we're living in an age where it's cool to be yourself, be an individual, yadda yadda yadda, then why can't I admit to liking a few songs from certain "uncool" bands without being ridiculed? My buddy made fun of me a while ago about being a "fan of Creed" when all I said was I enjoyed a few of their songs. It's hard to keep track of what's "in" and what's "out" nowadays, and I don't want to be subjected with having to keep track of it.

- I hate the immigration laws in Canada. They make it a darned pain in the asterisk to immigrate here legitimately. First you need to be a "landed immigrant" for 3 years, then you can apply for citizenship. Of course each step of the way costs thousands of dollars for government and lawyer fees. That's BS. Is there any other country that has this? And we have to go through an entire rigamaroll of proving that the relationship is real for family immigration. We need pictures, receipts of dates, family/friends interviews, etc. Then why is there a family next door that has 12 people living there who can't speak a word of English?

Mostly beacause english sucks, I really hate how Anglo's seem to always be proud of being Anglo. It's like gay pride, it's nessisary to be ainal(pun intended).

I agree, what's cool to some is crap to others.

It's amazing how much TV has raised us. (Bart Simpson)
