the only large one i knew of that came close in the old days was from the team (VisZero)sabata, since then I can see a few new ones looming.

I believe Sabata Ra and his team created a couple online RPG's, they were simple, but they worked. However they were no were near massive as in: MMORPG, but they worked. Theoretically it is possible of course, I would suggest programming the client in DBP and the internet framework, server etc with C++.
