I was wondering if anyone knows how to make a windowed program not change screen resolutions to 640x480 and then back again when you start it. I know about the setup.ini fix but that doesn't help stand-alone executables.
I noticed that "mpgame.exe" which comes with DarkBASIC somehow manages to do this.

Any help will be apprecciated!

I think it switches by default and there's nothing you can do about it. Same with hiding the mouse pointer before it's shown at all. Me thinks they need to update DarkBasic - Call it DarkBasic Classic Edition 2005

Really the only option you have is to include the setup.ini file with your EXE.

I tried "set window on" and exported it as a standalone.
It works!
(I also tried as an .exe file and it also works)

Just make sure you put the "Set Window On" command at the top of the program before you load any images in or else all your images won't show up.
