I have this image:

Which looks just normal.

Now when I paste it over another image in DBP using:

it comes out like this:

Any idea why this happens or how to fix it? I have tried sprites also which don't help any more.

What do you see running this:

It works perfectly for me. If that doesn't work for you, then consider seeing if there are updated drivers for you graphics card.

Well...it doesn't work

All my other images work just fine though...why?

Also, i just got crappy on-board graphics, but my other images still work just fine.

What file format are you using? What program did you use to create the image? Did you use the same program to make all of your images?

Try changing the order you are pasting your images. See what happens. If that dosen't do it, REM out the other paste image commands except the one that is giving you problems. See if it displays correctly.

You might have a corrupt .jpg file. Did you try loading the .jpg into another editor or paint program to see if it loads okay?

What about flushing video memory?

I think DBPro is kind of quirky about file formats. Try using a bitmap

I don't know for sure, but you might have to do some investigation and simply just experiment.

Try testing the code on a different machine.

Sorry, I can't give a specific fix for your problem.
