I saw an announcement for the contest on GameDev.net and was thinking about entering. It's been a while since I've played around with Dark Basic, but I think I can remember some stuff! One question though, the rules say that the software is not required, and the contest is 2 months long...but the trial is only 30 days. Does this mean just start at the beginning of March? Or will their be a 2 month demo that can be downloaded? Thanks!

You've got 30 days, starting whenever you want to start it The rules say that you don't need to OWN our software to take part, but you do need to use the trial in that case. Might want to prepare any media well in advance of installing

Cheers,

Rich

And of course, you'll use the first month to plan and design anyway

and remember... on dual boot system (Win9x - WinNT) you can install it on either OS and get 30days on each from installation

its a popular trick used, another one is a full reinstall - i'd hoped once i bought it i'd never have to do again, i'm so seriously thinking about that dongle thing so i don't have to remember the CD
