I like all good games (I only don't like ultra realistic flight sims)

I'm 18 now and I've been playing PC games since 1997 I guess
I started playing Mac games when I was 5, games like Uninvited, Shufflepuck, ...

Its some time ago I played a commercial game.

I started DB coz it's an opportunity to bundle various pc skills (photoshopping, 3d modelling, music creation,...)

I am 15 1/2, I like RPGs, stratagies and various shooter games. I liked games before I even knew the slightest thing about programming. Ive been programming for about 1 year now.

I started by learning a language on a graphical calculator at school. I quite liked that and a few years later I found Yabasic on the back of a PS2 demo disk, I had a go on that and made a few text games.

A year later about, I redescovered Yabasic and that is when my real intrest in programming started. I learnt yabasic, qbasic, powerbasic (much the same as qbasic) and a bit of C (the most advanced I got was a word wrap program).

Around a friends house I saw DB where (he showed me the tank demo and said he made it himself in 2 days, with no previous programming experience, ha ha). At first I thought that DB made programming too easy but then I got a demo and found it was just as challenging, but you got more out of it.

Phone for the rest of my life story...

I'm 16 and I have been a gamer since 5. I am a sucker for the games like Wolfenstien 3D, Duke Nukem, etc. You know those games with the cheesy 2d images that kinda float around and you can only see one side of them. As a matter of fact I was just playing W3D about an hour ago. I also like some strategy games like Civilization II and Civ III. I have only been using DB for about 2 months. I have done a lot of programing on Texas Instrument calcs. Although they are only calculators, they are powerful, they support TI-BASIC, Z80 (GameBoy), and th 89 supports C.

I also programmed (and still, when I'm at school and I'm bored) on my TI-83, but I didn't actually program a game.
I tried to make a 2d game but it was quite slow using the pix on/off commands

Sorry to say but the TI-83/+ does suck a great deal if you are making a game in basic. If you can program in assembler (Z80)(which I can't) it is quite great.

I guess I only can program in basic with my TI-83? It's not a Plus version and I don't have a PC link cable...

I'm 26 and began programming when I was 6 years old, when my big brother came home one day with a Commodore 128. I programmed my first demo at 7. I can program C64 and C128 basic, Amiga Basic, AMOS, Lattice C++, C/C++, Visual Basic, Pascal, Java, QBasic, a little bit of Assembler and now I stumbled across DarkBasic.

My first favourite game was "Monty on the Run" @ Commodore 64. My current favourite games are "Diablo 2" and "Alien vs Predator 2".

Ok, I'll try it too

I'm 20 years old. I'm studying Computer Engineering.
I program since 1998. It's not a long time but programming it's not so difficult for me.

My favourite games are turn based RPGs: Final Fantasy Saga, Legend of Dragoon, Grandia, Grandia 2, etc... all of them are lovely, especially Final Fantasy (Aaaah... I really love FF8).

At the moment I'm preparing a turn-based RPG.
I'll need a lot of time to go on with this. Now I'm trying to end the storyline and I'm learning to use 3D Studio Max to create the characters.
I need to learn a lot!!

I would like to crate the Spanish verion of my game and, after this create the English version. It would be really great but... step by step.

Oh! the name of my game... I'm not as good than I would like to be in english but I think this game is right:
Tracks of Eternity

What do you think about this name??

Well don't feel too old, I just turned 30 and I guess I HAVE to be an adult now...
I was taught basic on a Trs-80 waaaay back by my grandfather who worked in the airport control tower. I worked a paper round so I could by my ZX-81, later a Speccy, then vic-20, c64, amiga, finally dos pc, then lost interest when programming became a chore (c, c++).
I almost forgot about programming then and went into modelling and music instead. Well db is fun like the old basic languages so here I am. I wish I'd had this when I was younger...

hmm... i can't be arsed to read this all so i'm just gonna say

i'm older than 20
programming, computing, blah blah almost as long as i've been able to tap keys ... and erm, i made a new creating tonite - it's call Guitle Cola

you take a can of draught guiness, a glass bottle of cokecola (make sure its the real stuff not that namby pamby diet crap!!), a small bag of skittles and a pint glass (which you've recently stolen from the local)

Fill up about 3/4s with the Guiness, top off with the Coke ... and put in a handful of skittles ... wait until the concotion has turned black with that beutiful white head.

it takes best with the purple skittles
