I have made several icons of which one I would like to use for my exe. How can I do this with DB-Classic v1.13? Also, how can I change the standard cursor instead of that ugly thing that comes built into DB? I know that I could just hide the mouse and use a sprite and paste it wherever the mouse position happens to be, but that's lame.

For the icon, you need some kind of prog that can hack the file's properties and change its icon, 'cos DB doesnt support any other icons.
The mouse problem is easier. Hide the mouse cursor, load up an image to use as a cursor and set it to the current mouse x() and mouse y() values



Whatever I did I didn't do it!

and that program is called 'reshack'

in fact, you can do both things with it... I think you'd better not use a sprite as a mouse cursor, because real-time moving sprites are very slow, the best way in my opinion is to change the cursor with reshack too... (just by replacing the standard DB cursor)

you have to open the compiled exe in reshack and then can you change these things

Another question that didnt have to be asked This is all over the forums if you actually looked But yea do what they said, and for the Cursor, just hide the mouse and put a sprite where the mouse would be. How is that lame?

It's lame in that it gets a little choppy and jumpy after a while. I know, I have already tried this and noticed that the cursor begins to lag if the mouse is moved at any rate which could be considered 'quick'.

Well, that was my opinion anyway, but thanks with the help.
Also, is there anyway to search the forum. I have been using Ctrl-F, typing in the word I'm looking for and going onto the next page.

Again, thanks to you all.

have you tried reshack? this will make your mouse cursor as fast as the default one (coz it's actually replacing it in the exe file)

You can use a program called "Resource Hacker" too. Search for it on the web.

I got a copy of ResHacker and it works great. I have been using it on nearly ever exe I have if I don't like its graphics. Thanks.
