ARDEN FLORIST FEEL UP LITTLE KIDDIES

there, now this forum's pretty popular, and providing enough people read and respond to this thread, anyone looking them up in google will never look at the florists again.

The guy only took your board because you were being dangerous - what were you doing on the road anyway?

P.S - I skate too, but the guy seemed like he had his reasons and it should teach you to skate in more intelligent places.

Is you mate alright? Although I'd be a lil pissed about the board, was it a pro rig?

Cause if not just grab another £15 one and complain to the police about it.

we were actually on the way to some local woods where we were gonna meet loads of mates and show off our tricks.

I admit i was pretty stupid not listening to my instincts. although the street is normally empty and i board down there a lot and never come across cars in my way, though this time round i did have a nagging thought saying "dont let him do it"

what im more annoyed about though is that he just went- with the board... he said he was gonna drop it off at the station, but it's shut. it's a five minute walk from where we were and we headed immediatly after he left with it.

If i were taking someone's board, found the station was shut, i'd do the respectable thing and wait there for the kids to arrive and then give it back, or at least just leave the board on the doorstep or something.

neither the board, car or friend collided with each other, no damage was done, so as far as i'm concerned, what he did was illegal unless the 2 actually collided..

atomz, i think im gonna do more than ring up the florist... *stacks up piles of eggs*

I wouldn't bother either actually, I'd just leave it there... even if it was open. ^_^
Best you can do is report it to the police really, other than that your options are limited cause the flower shop it was won't care and will probably deny involvement if it's just you and your mates asking.

I'm starting to wonder if you even skate drew. Gettin a complete deck is around $120 over here and thats without pimped out bone bearings.

agreed lol

Im would just go up and apologize to the guy and feed him what he wants to hear. Then once he gives you your board, flip him the biggest bird of your life, scream out every swear word you know, and run like hell

Why'd you let him take your board in the first place?

If some prick grabbed my deck, and told me he's taking it to the police, I'd wrestle it from him, then if the bastard didn't give it back, I'd king hit him!

Egg the place, and leave a note on his door saying "Sk8ing isn't a crime".

I really don't like people that bitch about skating like that, especially when it's a younger kid that did it ( not implying that you are... I don't know how old you are )...

Oh well, hopefully the piggers will have your deck for ya.

Jess.

jess- good question- why didnt i do anything?

well- it wasnt until the last moment when i was simply expecting him to drive off that he actually got out and picked it up- even then i didnt know what he was gonna do, i was expecting him to try snappign it, which i'd let him do since he'd break his kneecap's trying.

when he did put it in the door, was still watching awed by what was happening- so awed i forgot to take registration number etc.

when he said "pick it up from the police station" i thought "fair enough" its a five minute walk away.

though looking back, i'm thinking now: If someone's walking across a road and almost gets hit- do you take his shoes?

It depends... Do you need some new shoes? lol.

I can understand what was going through your head, though... "What the hell is he going to do?"

Either way, you'll get your deck back, and if you don't, hunt him down and show him that stealing other people's property is the wrong thing to do

what was the name of the neighbors chick who got hit by the bus and had some guy steal her wallet, or just the library card from the wallet? anyway, the guy said you idiot I killed someone who did that already! well he is the idiot, you'd think he would have learnt to drive a little more safer and perhaps slower if he saw there was someone on the road, but then again, he has the balls to drive again after killing some poor kid, he obviously isn't gonna care about another...? anyway all in all yes that man did take your property without proper authority, therefore he has commited theft aswell as possible culpable driving, if the cops don't care there isn't much you can do. If it was me, I would scan the neighborhood for this guy, maybe check out local newspaper articles at the library about kids being hit by cars and killed, get myself some leads, or you could just let it go, but where is the fun in that.

tbh i dont think he really did ever kill anyone driving, or else, as you say, he'd show it from experience by driving at 2mph or something, especially since it was a build up area where there could have been some 2 yr old on the street.

i reckon he just said that fro some kind of shock or something :/

thats not the kite i use though- mines much bigger

it's the lowest board in the best range- i guess if your into cars you could say its in the league of porsche's or bmw's, but not the best of the porche's or BMW's (but then i could be making it sound bad since i dont knwo my cars very well)

It costs £100 excactly in the cheaper places, most boards I see other people around here use are just like skateboards with tyres on for about £40 (they snap easily)

mountain board noob. like skate boards but off road. go to the top of the hill in the middle of some wood,s slallom to the bottom dodging treets and stuff in the way- tres adrenalin rush.

then theres also kiteboarding but i dont find it as fun- especially since the wind around here is contastantly changing speed and direction etc.

once my mate manages to take some films and then not manage to tape over it with something else, i'll post it on me website for ye.

"lame" isnt the word i'd use, but i#m guessing your idea of a day out when your bored is to go out skydiving or something uber extreme- either that or you're a chav who only enjoys football and stella.

kite boardings isnt much fun yet it is a popular sport that recently took off in the midlands and is now as popular as BMX-ing and skateboarding- which i really hate since the fields used to be empty before these amateurs came along harumph-harumph

i think the problem's just the location- in britain it's hard to find massive flat open areas which dont have long grass or large rocks etc, and you wont get kicked off from, or covered in sheep poop as you trip up.

I've seen on the extreme sports channel these people kiteboarding on massive salt plains like where they did the land speed record, and they can go for miles and not have to stop, and sometimes they go in these 3 wheeled buggies and get up to speeds of over 100mph, but you couldnt do that anywhere in the uk, since theres always a fence or something after 100 meters, or another kiter. it doesnt seem worth having to drag your board and your kite back ot the other end of the field again to get another run (in the videos of the salt plans they'd have someone in a car driving behind therm to pick them up)

as i said, i have both a board and a kite yet i rarely use them together. i like the board for going to the top of a hill and slalloming around trees etc, just like snowboarding but a harder landing i imagine. and then there's the kiting- which might sound lame, but i assure you it's far better than it sounds. i'm not talking about kiddy kites, nor the 2 lined ones, i'm on about the 4 lined kites that range between 5-30 meters wide (the larger ones being used more for trans-ocean kite surfing or salt plains).

these kites in even a slight breeze can make a fuly grown man fly- which is what we like to do but its already got 3 of my mates in hospital.

Next time you think a sport's lame, go find some kids doing it in a field, just as we witnessed. we were on a field talking to some older pro's and a man came over saying "this is kids stuff" (obviously trying to impress his wife and kids). we handed him a kite, tried to tell him what to do, but being arrogant just ignored us. as soon as he picked up the lines a massive gust of wind came and he flew face first into a fence, walking off with blood dripping from him.

goorf: it actually sounds cool, i'd love to try it. you see, the reason i said it seemed, ahem, lame (sorry Jess) was because your manner of speaking kind of irritated me, reminded me of this guy at college who, well, let's just say my friends girlfriend met him for like five minutes and after he left asked "what the hell is wrong with that kid?", so i decided to have a little fun with you. no offense or nothing intended. heh, nah, i don't do anything uber-extreme. i used to skateboard (regular old fashioned skateboarding) when i was younger, but then i fell in with a strange group of people who didn't board, so i stopped too. now i've fallen in with another strange group of people and when we're bored we sneak into abandoned factories and condemned apartment buildings and other abandoned places, i think each of us do it for our own reasons but i think a common one is kind of a gothic mentality as well as the thrill of it (hopping fences, sneaking around in the dark, trying to avoid cops and security, basically playing solid snake or sam fisher, except we're armed only with cameras and mag-lites) and we also go off into the woods to build shelters out of trees, rope and mud. i also do rock climbing and bouldering when i'm at school, no where to do it when i'm at home. i've dabbled in buildering, but i'm not really very good at chimneying, but i'll probably give it another go when i go back to school. my friends and i are planning a statue climb this fall.

good luck on getting your board back man.
