Try using object screen x() and object screen y() to get the objects location on the screen.

mouse selection of objects is a very difficult thing to do.

There is a code snippet for it somewhere on [href]www.realgametools.net/forums[/href] but it won't be easy.

The fact you can't type in a URL properly isn't exactly a bug.

Well, I heard DB would have a pick entity command That's pretty useful. Let's hope so

No rich - when you click the HREF button it should put [URL] tags around the address, not [HREF] surely?

Good news folks! - Lee says that he is considering adding a PICK OBJECT/POLY commandset in a few patches down the line. That means that we will see nothing now, but maybe something come June time.

If you want to get technical, the correct one to wrap would be URL yes - but even with HREF it doesn't matter - they both work, they both do the same thing, try it and see.

Cheers,

Rich

ahh... it only seems to work if you include the full address.

The way it works is that it searches for something that would constitute a URL of some kind.. i.e.:

http
https
ftp
mailto

and then based on a standard reg exp will turn the rest of it into a link. The forum tags [ href ] and [ url ] both achieve this same effect. If you miss out the http part then yes, it'll fail.

Cheers,

Rich

perhaps it should simply turn whatever is inside the URL tags into a link? - Anyway - more importantly please can we have an Edit button and a Search option.

I've never seen an edit button in any forum I been to, but I do agree about the search button.

Am I a butterfly dreaming I'm a man?
Or a bowling ball dreaming I'm a plate of samishi?
Never assume that what you see or feel is real.
