Does anybody know of a way to draw a triangle without having the image stretched along the first and second sides?

You take three coordinates and draw lines between them.

What?
Maybe you should know what you're talking about?
Just to clerify:
A) A 3D model shaped as a triangle
B) I add texture to it
C) The texture gets aligned to the first and second of the three sides
D) HOW DO I AVOID THE 'C' issue?
