It's not fully done yet, but the basics work. I also made it in categories, and not only darkbasic specific This way, more talent should show up.

its probably a great idea for a website, unfortunately some of the lesser productive members of this community have infiltrated it, ultimately this means other well respected members will probably avoid it.

good luck tho, keep up the good work.

If no-one gives your an answer to a question you have asked, consider:- Is your question clear.- Did you ask nicely.- Are you showing any effort to solve the problem yourself 

Fixed a few things today, more to do tomorrow.

Quote: "- Fixed a bug where the user couldn't enter a normal length email address
- Fixed a bug where the user would be redirected to localhost on ssome pages
- Whitespace+tabs removed for increased performance and smaller files
- "Edit my profile" no longer appears on profile of other users
- You can no longer send mails to yourself
- Joined date now appears correctly in your profile
- Now when you send mail, the "Send Mail" and "Preview" buttons dissappear
- Now the title when viewing mails displays correctly
- You can now reply to the mails you get(once you click on them)
- Fixed incorrect character length when editing profile
- Now requests are sorted by the date(newest first)
- Requests now go up to 20 max per page instead of 5 for easier browsing
- Now you can delete unwanted mail
- Fixed paging problems with mail
- Now a user is assigned a Member rank when none was given by the employer
- You can now assign Kudos to users. You can not give kudos to yourself and you must wait 24hrs before you get another kudos. You can give kudos to players by clicking on their name."

How do you make it through every day of your life?

EDIT: Piratss

Quote: "Your Request description contains illegal characters! You may not use the following characters: ' < >"

Please get rid of this. The posts are going to sound less proffesional without the ability to insert even normal apostrophes into words like "You've" "Don't" and "I've"

thanks

EDIT #2:
Another bug. When I try to edit my project team request using the "Edit Request" next to the "about the project" the number in the catagory goes from "Misc (6)" to "Misc (7)" yet when I click on that request there is no updated request. What gives?

Thanks

EDIT: To those idiots like Flamebait, please note and bear in mind that I'm simply testing the system and trying to find bugs and not spamming as I said I was, which was a JOKE.

Thanks again

Update.
Next stop, Mod CP and a few more bug fixes like apostrophies.
Quote: "- Fixed the view_profile.php error not showing up
- Fixed the kudos system which should work properly now.
- Time for another kudos now shows up correctly
- Fixed an exploit where normal members could edit team requests
- Now you can remove requests(if you have the proper permission to do so)
- Fixed a MAJOR exploit where people could possibly remove other users projects, requests, teams or proposals
- Added the following Categories and sub categories:
Database Design
-> MySQL
-> SQL Server
-> Oracle
-> Access
Graphics
-> Pixel Art
-> 3D Modelling
-> Paintings
-> Concept Art
-> Level Design
-> Logos
- Fixed logout, so now the stylesheet no longer messes up
- Team Members(Member status) can no longer post requests. This was a bug in the first place, if you want your members to post requests, assign them at least a Job Hunter status.
- You can now delete your proposals.
- Emails now use the formatting correctly
- Usernames are active links now when browsing mail so you can view their profile right there
- Misc subcategory now shows up correctly on the title
- Project Managers can now delete projects
- Fixed minor issues with accepting people(formatting, empty box showing and the form)
- You can now leave projects if you are not a project manager
- Fixed Misc category displaying wrong # of requests
- Now there is a limit on the ammount of project you can make/join(currently 5 max)"

Update!
It's a big one.
And yes, you can now you apostrophies!

Quote: "- !!! Now you can put the following characters in projects,mails,proposals or requests and profile: <, >, '
- You can no longer assign Project Manager as a position to member you recruit. Executive has all the same powers as Project Manager except deleting the actual project
- Removed "None" as a member position
- You can no longer edit requests or proposals that do not exist
- You can no longer post requests, proposals and mails with invalid category/subcategory and people that do not exist
- You can no longer view mails and projects that do not exist
- Now your inbox turns green if there are new mails waiting for you. If you click on it, it becomes normal color again.
- Inbox now sorts the mails by their date(newest first)
- Now admins can assign moderators who can Edit or Remove Proposals/Requests that are violating TOS
- Fixed a major exploit where users could edit proposals and requests that did not belong to them!
- Now there are seperate image buttons for the edit/delete request to correctly display the website on 640x480
- The title bar when viewing projects is no longer blank
- When you accept a proposal, the mail no longer appears in your inbox instead of the accepted user
- Users that are already in a team can not reply to a proposal made by the same team
- When a project is being deleted, all of the references such as requests will be deleted as well
- Added the following categories/subcategories:
Writing
-> Articles

Click on the request you want to write the proposal in and click the button "Write Proposal". You can't write a proposal on your own request however.

EDIT: If you want to post a request, you have to Add a project.
EX: I want to make a MMORPG, I make a new project, give it a name, description etc. Now I need Pixel Artists for that game, I make a new request under Graphics/Pixel Art and specify my needs.

After that, some pixel artist might be interested in your request, so he logs in and posts a proposal. If you like what he posts, you accept his proposal and send him the info you like: "Welcome to the team".

Pretty easy?

PLEASE don't put C# with C/C++, they're not similar, it would be better to put it with VB.net or Java, but the only thing similar between C and C# is the syntax.

Last time I check, programming languages were always grouped by their syntax. If they were grouped by functionality...you would just have a couple huge groups.

Mabey if I add features I might acedentally make errors...

If one person has something and another person doesn't then that person is different then the other.

PirateSS is a ADMIN, he has power over you. Try editing other user's messages. And I MEANT that the error was that the PHP was viewing you as the owner of the message.

Finally, if I am right TRY to say something along the lines of
"Ohh, I didn't think of it that way, Thank you PiratSS for pointing out what Merranvo had been pointing out all along but I ignored him because I believed that he could not POSSIBLY have any inteligence at all"

what's all this nonsense here, I think there just might be a slight problem with the proposals. Let me check it out, no need to fight over anything. And for your info, There are no admins, only mods.

I asked megaton for his pass(because every pass is md5'ed), logged in and found out that he was already in my team.

So there was no real problem, it's just that you can't post proposals if you are in the same team as the request(quite logical).

"Neoworking"? Heh heh.

This is really kickin'. I will undoubtedly be using this looking for art assets, terrific job.

It's not like I'm requesting features or anything...but what about a way to view projects without proposals and maybe a little general chat forum.

Once this gets really stable you should spread the word around blitz, gamedev, IGDA Indie, and other places.
