DLL Talk / vst dll (kinda off topic)

this really has nothing to do with darkbasic but.....
i'm currently writing a vst dll and have a problem. I should have mentioned that i'm a complete c++ ameteur but have managed to blag my way through in the past and was hoping to do it again. The problem is not in the actual vst (which works fine). As part of a vst you need to call virtual functions (virtual void etc) and i want to know hoe to transfer data from other parts of the program into these as i cannot change the prototype for them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
