I have tried compiling countless .x files into the Bsp Compiler.

My 3d models are completely made from Cubes... no flat plains or anything.

The farthest I get past is "CSG pass complete" then it either does nothing or I get an error saying
"Can not calculate portal to leaf direction" what's up?

Thanks

Possible problems:

1) There is a leak in your level (levels must be entirely self contained with absolutely no leaks at all)

2) Possible geometry problem - but unlikely with a level made from cubes

email: [email protected] with one of your 3D models and he may be able to help or alternatively post a .X model here for us to look at.

Make sure there is

a) no objects overlapping
b) no leaks (already mentioned)
c) no unusual objects

If you still can't figure it out, try using the compile csg* command in DBP to "clean up" your .x file then try again.

best way to make sure there are zero leaks...

create a box larger than the world and then flip all of its normals - zero leaks
