It's as simple as writing a server and client, then connecting the client to the server, and in an dos window type netstat -n

Nope, he could have told you that it uses the plug on the back of your computer,,,

Actually a good question, are you trying to establish a connection to a non DB application?

no, but many people have personal firewalls that block out ports of their computer to prevent hacker attacks. I have had issues with people not being able to connect, but not knowing which port to unblock to get into my game. I cant tell them, so i'm stuck until I found out which number port DB runs through
