Here is a great resource for the people entering the retro games competition. This is a site of musicians that redo old game themes and such. There's a large number of redone themes from a wide variety of games, old and new.

This is very good for what I need!

However, the FAQ states that we can mirror the remixes (ie. upload them to our servers) which I suppose means we can upload a demo of them - but that we can't let others mirror them - does that mean that DBS can't host our demos?

Anyway, let me settle down and listen to that music...

As much as I love the Overclocked Remix stuff (and I've been following them for years with nearly all their tracks on CD here) - you cannot use this music in your games.

At least not the versions you send to us anyway, sorry but you didn't write the music and we therefore cannot distribute it/include it on CDs etc. You can contact the composer of the tune to ask their permission though, but unless you get (and prove) it, please don't use these great tunes. Thanks.

Cheers,

Rich

Can we only use music we compose? What about music from free resource CDs?
