I'm guessing by the addition of floors and walls that we'll be able to play with the size of the signs now? I have tons of segments for bricks and walls and such and I want to be able to build windows for them with out having to manually build new segments. Can you make it so we can input our own dimensions?

THanks!

tschwarz,

Greetings. I received the link for Signs 2 Beta, without a hitch.

I'll begin testing A.S.A.P., during this next week. Needless to say, I am damn excited about this new version, and the direction that you are taking it! Keep up the great works!

I will see what contributions I might be able to make in this endeavor. Time permitting, I'd like to help if I can.

Thanks,

Seth Black

ah now i received it!

and one thing:
those wall and floor parts, the round buttons arent working.
and the overlays arent working for the floors, and the walls cannot have those things you made in it yourself.

hopefully you can edit that.

Seth - Anything you can help with is appreciated, or just I like this part, I don't like this part would be helpful also. Thanks

Silver - The final version will allow you to add you own overlays, like the frames. The round buttons (Grass, Water, etc..) should be the walking sounds on floors, and type of bullet holes on walls.
To use your own overlays, you can edit one of the existing ones.
Currently there is only two overlays for floors.

I want to continue coding so if someone has a chance, maybe a simple tutorial on how to make your own overlays would be helpful.
Easiest way is to open one of the existing files in your paint progam and modify it. Both image and mask need to be edited.

COOL, I love this program..
I made lots of posters...
I have a suggestion.....
Make it so we can choose the color for the transparent areas,
so we can add a blob for a floor mark, or blood up the wall

Thanks fantasy,
Glad your having fun using FPSC and Signs. Actually you can modify the current templates. I played around awhile back with claw marks it looked pretty cool. Once I finish the new version I should probably make a small tutoral on how to change the overlays.

I thought about adding decals but, I think someone already wrote a program to do that.

Jikito,

I took a look at your screen shots, really like your art. I'm going to dl your posters and take a better look at them. Good job hope to see more of your stuff and thanks, glad you are having fun with fpsc and signs. If you like the first version I think you will really like the new one.

Silver don't worry about the post you created, maybe I'll post news about the new version in it until I release it.

Signs II has been released and has a new home at:

http://www.fpsconline.com

I was going to try to put some documentation together but, decided that documentation should not hold up releasing Signs II. It's really quite easy to use. Just be sure to go to settings and enter your information first. I added a button that will find where your copy of FPSC is installed so you don't have to type it out. I will post some doc's and examples soon. (I've got some help)

Special Thanks to:
Martin Dobes for donating his rug images. Be sure to say hey to Martin if you run across him on the forums.

Brian Foley for allowing me to use some of his fantastic art work. The Pictures on the wall on the website was from Brian. Go to www.fnggames.com or www.DAZ3D.com and do a search on his name.

Let me know how the install works and especially the button in the settings that tells you where fpscreator is installed.

I remarked out the code that uses physics on the wall, it all worked great until I put a ceiling in, then the wall would just fall down. Should have that working soon.

I forgot to say thank you to everyone that beta tested Signs II for me. Thank you.

OK now with the newest beta the rooms segment only works when a huge amount of light is on it else things will be black\transperant.

and then when i wanted to capture on screeny it suddenly did work!
(well on the screeny not in the game)

what on earth is wrong?

(P.S. manual is slowly progress.....
due the fact i got a few programs to update in VB and also i need to keep up all my texture databases up-to-date)

tschwarz,

OMG! This is awsome. I downloaded it made 1 room, 1 floor, 1 wall, 1 sign in about 10 min. It worked great in the game and will add a lot of creativity to my game. Thank you very much for all your hard work and giving it to the community!

Silver Draquinsty, Not sure, I did several tests tonight and could not get the same results. You should be running the released version now. If the beta is still installed, uninstall it and then install the latest version from http://www.fpsconline.com if it still does it, maybe you can send me a sample so I can test it.

TeMpLaR1, Sorry but not until I make sure everything is working properly. Plus I'm working on an update that sets ismobile for walls. Not a permanent no just not yet. I know you have worked hard on your site and I want to see Signs on it. As soon as I finish up I'll let you know and send you a link.

Dog, Thanks and have fun

the manual is only just begun with two lines on the Floor segments and it has already 12 pages full of explanaition how to start it up,place the Tutorial items on the right place and making your first Sign.

I think this will become a very big manual.
pictures are also included for better explanaition
