Hi folks,
in the manual/online help it says:

"DISABLE SYSTEMKEYS
This command will disable the use of such system keys as ALT+TAB, ALT+F4. This command will fail if the operating
system does not support the screen saver based method of deactivating the system keys."

Only thing is that this command seems to fail on every machine I have tried it on. I really don't want users "switching" back and forward to windows/other apps when mine is running as there doesn't seem to be any way to detect when the DBPro app has been switched out or back in.

Any ideas on how to make the command work, or is this the sort of thing that's really a fix in a new patch, I've had a look at DX from C++ and it seems to be fairly trivial to switch off the ALT+TAB, ALT+F4 thing like you would see in games like JK and Quake etc.

Thanks in advance for any help

Cheers
Andy

This is an obvious point and I am sure you are already aware of it - but it only works on Windows 9x and Windows ME

"Have to see if I can block ALT+TAB in XP then..."

That probably isn't easily possible given that XP automatically captures a number of keyboard shortcuts including this one before anyone else has a chance. However you can just get the program to keep reactivating itself even if you switch out of it (do this quickly enough in a loop and it will effectively become impossible to get out of)

CTRL-ALT-DELETE cannot be stopped for certain, ALT+F4 can.

Thanks for that guy's, but the question now is how do you "get the program to keep reactivating itself even if you switch out of it", thanks for the help.

Regards
Andy
