Done it,
Also just uploaded it to 250 sites using one of those PAD file submitters; I've just lost 300mb of bandwidth in an hour :S

At this rate I'll have to upgrade again very soon And vapournet.com only offer up to 20gb bandwidth which i don't think will be enough.

I'm using hostingplex, and so far they've been pretty good. Actually, Peter's been using most of it as I hadn't had much time to use it for my own projects.

Edit: For thoughtless of me! I didn't even comment on Dumbo & Cool. Excellent job, Drew! I spent a little time this morning playing the demo before going to work. You've done an excellent job.

That's cool, and thanks for the great comments!

Vapournet is great though; I plan to stick with Mike and Vapournet, thankyou.

Well I'll share my dissapointment: 2.

Has anybody tried the demo in WINZIP, did it throw up any errors?

Have you thought about sending an e-mail to a few game magazines. PC ZONE has 2 pages dedicated to indie games and PC GAMER often featues indie work, could mean a fair few sales.

I was going to suggest that - pc gamer would be perfect, they support indie games and would probably happily stick the demo on their cover dvd?

Drew does that 2 sales include mine? Cos I'll be posting you the cash tomorrow morning?

Okalie Dokalie. Would you prefer it on CDR or via web? (candidly via web would be easiest for me - with the higher quality vid's that you asked for, too)

Downloads are easiest for me; including the higher quality films as requested.

That sure can't help with sales

Anywho, I R BOUGHT IT DREW.

Well, now they want me to call a long distance number to confirm the order, that's downright annoying.

Ah well, it'll give me something to do during lunch.

That put a smile on my face; I've just had to refund an order too because the guy A) Didn't check the demo for compatability and B) Didn't even had broadband.

Get a copy stuck on eBay. I can imagine it now.........

Dumbo & Cool, 3d platoformer created by indipendent (sp?) developer. NOT AVAILABLE IN THE SHOPS. Once in a lifetime chance to own a signed copy straight from the developers. (you could sign the cdr).

Don't miss out, this isn't available in the shops. A signed copy of the game avaialbe from drewsgames.com. Act now, before it's too late.

Me thinks it might just work.

DrewG: You can't count only the people that have posted that be a smaller figure than those who buy it and didn't post... like me... until right now when I made this post...

No game yet though, but I have paid for it... that's what counts?

You pay for the game and then Drew e-mails it to you. I got mine immediately, but then again I think I was the first one.

Tifu: Please check your spam box, I sent the email on Tuesday night! If it's not there then please email me at DrewCameron@ddrw.com and I'll send it again.

Kangaroo Beta 2: I got your package today; thanks for the tip! That comes at a great time actually because I'm almost out of bandwidth already. I've got a really bad CD writer and I've had issues with copying photos for people to CD, and then the CD's not working for other people etc... so would a download be fine? The new video resolutions are fine too I should imagine. In any case, expect something back very very soon! And thankyou again for your generosity.

Sorry I haven't replied to this thread but it's been such a very busy week. (And not because of D&C)

That's cool; another reason I think a download would be optimum over sending the CDR is that the Christmas post may mean it takes a week to arrive!

Thanks for sending a CDR anyways, I'll keep your address and I'll see about sending over a CD copy too.

Kangaroo2 BETA2;

I cant' quite do full game resolution for you; my computer simply cannot handle rendering it strangely, it keeps freezing at about 2/3rds of the way through rendering, but I can do very close for you.

Sorry about that - will this be okay? It looks like I'll be using your CDR by the way because of the large filesizes, so I'll stick some other games and wallpapers (of D&C) I've made on the disk by way of compensation.

Let me know if this is okay with you,
Drew C

Drew - thats fine by me, sounds great in fact

Sorry to cause you hassle with the video renders!

(For file sizes, you could try divx encoding, a quick change to source code would work - but thats a side issue, sending me a cdr is absolutely fine)

Check your inbox K2B2, I've sent you something to "tide you over".

See my computer has problems with video because over the years I've done so much video stuff (www.ddrw.com) and never upgraded my PC.. It's kind of.. dying a bit, and alot of stuff doesn't work. Including DivX. Sorry about that as well
