i think you have to do this to give 3D models transparent parts...

this is of course if you want the black parts to be transparent...

try playing around with that last flag though...

Peter, your code works great, thanks for helping.

Ug, this is too complicated. I think I'll just stick with dbc until I finish this game. To deal with the speed issues I'll just optimize the sh*t out of it.

Right now I'm re-arranging a lot of my priorities, so I may take a break from this to finally finish Block Verse, or I may start coding them both once some educational issues are under control. For the future, it's uncertain if my next game will be Part Two of Kregs Adventures, or an entirely story focused game currently called Sleeper Awakened. There's also the possibility that someone will actually start another compo that will be open-ended enough to catch my interest, but I won't worry about it for now.

oh, one thing i noticed while working on my game the other day...

if you are using PNGs for that transparency stuff.. then use 2 as a flag (instead of 4)


it looks better (especially if you use "partially" transparent parts...)
