Has anyone used Photomodeler to create 3D models for video games?

Becuase I want to hear if people think its good for 3D modeling.

They used to have a Photomodeler lite, but not anymore. The pro version is rather expensive.

But its really neat software.

I'm pretty sure you can still find the lite version at some place on the web...just search.

it sucks for creating unrealistic or fantasy models, unless you have a space ship to take a picture of.

Anything that makes boxes and let's you edit the points/vertice in 3D space can make professional results as far as the geometry is concerned.

Hey Guys,

I know, Photomodeler Lite is no longer available, nuless you know somebody that has it, like me. hehe.

The licensing agreement allows me to distributed it. I also have 2 of their more advanced tutorials. Too bad I didn't download them all.

If someone would like to make Photomodeler Lite available for download on their web page, I can email you the program and the tutorials. However, I obviously can't just email it to everybody that wants it.

Who will carry the torch for Photomodeler lite!

Its a neat program. You can go to the toy store, get some models, take pictures of them, make a model, and have a perfect skin.

Photomodeler is no longer available, there is a MUCH more powerful software package available for free for non-commercial use.. it integrates motion tracking and can build 3d scenes from video footage or still images, it also has a ton of other features.. here is the address..

the link is not working at the moment.. at least not for me.. but it did work a few days ago.

Anyway the software is called Icarus.
