Hey! Can anyone break FFXI's DLLs and EXEs and tell me what them mean and how they work that would be a great help! If you're wondering why I need that info, I've already looked at the emulators and delivery systems for alot of MMOs(I will give that most emulators ARE fan made, so they have security flaws and are rather glitchy), and I'm curious to see how Square Enix setup their client side security and patch deliveries.

Thanks

Quite possibly !
Erik this is a development forum for TGC products and associated add-ons/derivatives. Perhaps you could ask a similar problem in a forum more tailored to security systems/hacking/cracking etc

No,you couldnt do that either. You'd get +kb'd then very likely DoS'd moments later. But here's a thought. Just dont do it. Period.

Sounds more like a weak attempt at social engineering.

Hmmm, wow, I didnt think people were this rude here, I heard they were nicer, but oh well. Just one thing before I leave....If this is such a negative thread...why did it get approved?

that is something which i think the mods should answer - this thread has got an air of legality issues, and threads like this either never get approved or get locked quickly, its odd how it has slipt through the net

Sorry, but this is a programming site, not a hacking site.

If you want to see how SE set up their client system, take the legal and moral road and ask them about it.

Worst case scenario, they won't answer or they'll tell you "We can't tell you; that's a trade secret. Find out yourself."

Worst case scenario with hacking the files, you get SE's lawyers dogging at your doorstep, along with a ban from TGC.
