Hello everyone. I have been working with sounds and memblocks and I have worked out that I could make a really cool Sounds editor. It can have that cool green thingy which reacts to sound and plus it can have some other cool visuals..anyway, visuals are not the point! I have got a really old sound editor called 'Cool Edit' and I dont know if its posible to buy the full version anymore, so I'm gonna make my own sound editor.

Wish me luck! (no flaming me until i have posted the first beta please )

Nice... what kind of sound editing features are you going to make - just cutting up a sound file, saving in different formats and such? Or did you have some more specific features in mind?

Good luck!

is where you can get the info you wanted. But I personally do all my music with guitar tracks pro because of its ease of use not to mention that it has one of the easist and best wave editors there is. I suggest if you plan on making this a major project that you download the demo and give it a test run at http://www.cakewalk.com . The main differance between the cool edit and the gt pro that i have found is that the gt-pro is extremly user freindly and you dont have to spend a few hours in the manual just to do something simple as I can tell you from experiance, that the most important thing on a consumer level is for a program of this nature to not only be freindly to the user and have a decent interface, but also be able to produce quality recordings. and although the cool-edit[pro] provides many great features, it just dont cut it when it comes to the interface and ease of use as it takes a bit to navigate through the various screens.
Good luck on your project

Everyone: Thanks guys
Red Giant 2183: Thats good, lol, thanks.

Everyone(again):
I am making as many cool features as possible such as stretching and tone editing. Plus I might learn the properties of the MP3 format and then i can have a feature on the program that can save to the MP3 format.
I dont have much time to work on this, coz im doing music for loads of ppl, lol.

See y'all soon!

Do you have a code snippet for how to display the waveform of an existing .WAV file?

I have been working on it now, and for the moment ive taken away the wave viewing thingy. I have found a cool sine tone when experimenting with tones, so i have made a BETA!
