Sad to hear that, =ChrisB=
But I respect your choice. FPSC has sooooooo many bugs in it!
I hope I hear about you someday in the future...

I have moved too realm crafter, worth very much the 55 bucks. I have done more in one week with RC then the 2 or 3 months I owned FPSC. Its just not right the way the devs and mods, also some users of this forum treat people.

mmmm as a hardenend fpsc fan iam aware it does have certain limitation of aaa engines

but the current list of engine i use are

fpsc
tge (torque game engine)
tse360 (torque game engine for the xbox 360)
realmcrafter
kaneva
and irrilecht
ampii

and i am still amazed at the use and cross compatability of fpsc
so my choice is fpsc all the way

but if you guys are looking for fresh challenges
here ya go

http://www.firestorm.go.ro/tutorials.html

if you chaps think you can do better try writing your own engine

failing that stop whining about fpsc and just be patient and wait for the update !!!!

peace out

ultraplex: i dont agree all the way, although i do agree that becuase they have got people into a way of thinking it makes it easier to get thier money, they are headed the microsoft way....get it on sale and who cares about the bugs.
i stopped using fpsc a while ago, i still use dbpro happily and im using A6 which is superb for quick protos and making high quality apps with too.
but i have to say this " sorry tgc but its the last product i buy from you when you ea it as i just cant rely on the company, every time they bring an update out for dbpro it has so many bugs that its just unusable,i havnt bothered upgrading it for a while and i belive that when you do bring out other things for fpsc then that to will be bugged to hell................but i love dbpro and will continue to use it until my c++ gets much better"

i agree though that the only time you hear from tgc is when they have a new product or it involves our cash, it was good at first but i think they have got into a rut which will slowly kill tgc.

Yeah, the way the mods treat you lot is terrible, you lot basically get off with murder in here - for a start half the posts in here could be deleted with a straight face.

I love how the mods don't have a filter-system to prevent them from uttering potty mouth in a forum full of 12-year-olds.

Would it suit the thread better if I used f*** instead? - there's plenty swears in this thread before mine, point taken though and I'll edit that swear.

1 emotional goodbye, 2 songs, and a 'I'm back' in the same thread - this forum is currently a toilet for these 12 year olds and in a thread that bitches about moderation etc again, after umpteen other bitchy threads, it's just about taking all my self control to leave this thread unlocked, never mind untainted by my vocabulary.

Frankly most people here have no idea what a moderator is supposed to do, so I wish they'd stop telling us.

I thought it was because:

Quote: "... but cannot deal with all the bugs, erors and limitations of the engine/editor (editor mainly).

Although I am still very much admiring of the whole setup, I feal it is time to move on to something diferant, maybe more powerful..."

Agreed- the FPSC is really buggy, but fun to experiment with. I just wish they'd make some patches for it...anything, just fix the bugs. No need for additional content, as there's plenty of that around. Just a quick bugfix patch would be nice, because my head explodes after working with a map for four hours and realising that it doesn't work no matter what i do to it. But anyway, the community here is, in my opinion, the only pillar that keeps FPSC from going to black hole of nothingness. Without all the models, with just the FPSC default ones, you couldn't do anything. Keep up the good work out there.

Hey Chris! Good to see you back again
I've been kinda dodging these forums of late. So you won't see me as much at all. Oh well. I'll be in the shadows, trying to learn Dark Basic, and DBPro.

When FPSC develops enough, lets make a Redwall game!

My 2c worth. I evaluate pretty much every game dev "tool" in the reasonable price range and I must say the FPSC is interesting although buggy (I'm most interested in the editor side). My personal favorites are TrueVision3D for a wrapper SDK and C4 for a game engine (this has amazing potential if you want to get your hands dirty).

You'll be back just like I did You see, not now but : I had a very bad reputation on this forum with alot of people, I was a n00b, I was a spammer, I was a right pr**k, mmhmm...yup its true you can ask anybody about Ali M (which is me but with a changed name) some people still think I am an idiotic retard hehe :p oh well, screw them! Ha! :p I couldn't take it anymore, so I left for about a year, and came back near the end of last year, and here I am!

Anyway if you're leaving for good which you most likely wouldn't, have a good one, kill your idols, rock on \m/, live fast and die young!!!
