Dumbo & Cool - February Upgrade

Dumbo & Cool is a 3D platforming game, created in Dark Basic, for 1 or 2 players. The website is http://www.Drewsgames.com/dac

New Demo http://www.drewsgames.com/dacdemo.zip - 18mb
Purchase http://www.drewsgames.com/dac/purchase.htm
Existing Users Email me at DrewCameron@ddrw.com to get the upgrade

What's new?

- Joypad and mouse support
- Escapekey pause menu

Not much of an upgrade, but better than nothing! Thanks for everyone who helped out. I am still working on the bigger upgrades, but think of this as a go-between.

Great news Drew! I'll download the upgrade when I get time! Nice to see that you're still working on this.

Drew, so are you going to e-mail those of us who bought the game? You said I should wait for the upgrade before writing a review...

Alright I got it.

Just did a quick test, and I noticed there were some more additions that you didn't mention, like the load times are much faster, or at least they seem to be.

I founds some issues, so I'll post them in your forums.

I have subsequently replied to your post, in my forums.

My forums rule. I rule.
That level editor I've been mentioning on MSN is still under way; it's just about there.

are the cutscenes in the game made in DB or have you used another
program?
It looks awsome btw

So hard to choose!
Fpsc or DBPRO or Source or Havok or C++-....maybe its C++....

They were made in DB, then captured and edited together like raw footage in other programs...

...and it was the height of tedium rigging all 100+ shots: if anybody remembers my WIP thread, I began the first cut-scene in April and finished them all in November - no slacking in between.

Thanks! If you like the look of it; why not buy the full game? Just £9.99!

What about us testers? Aren't we needed for this, or have you found some new testers? Or ... ?

Good good, I've been looking for something to play *cough* destroy *cough* during my spare time.

Glad you've implemented the pause menu by the way. I'll see if I can find any bugs in it this evening if I have time...

I know I will! I somehow lost the old copy of D&C, so I haven't been able to play it got a long time! I miss it, and I look very much forward to getting to play the game through another couple of times again!

Go on - do it! Only $9.99, and all people who own it of course get free upgrades as I add new stuff.

g.. Great work Drew, I love the excellent quality interface and smooth gameplay. May I suggest a Sequel with up to 4 player split-screen?

Wow! I'm sorry I didn't see this before now. That game is right on point. Fun to play, polished, great cut scenes.

A mild thing - I hit escape when I was choosing options and the program quit. I just didn't expect that to happen.

I'm going to buy this, as soon as my wife gives me the rest of my software money.

Come see the WIP!
