When I try to complile..

r = load lua ("players/gator.lua")
MyName$ = lua get string("PlayerName")

I get..

Could not determine prameter type of 'load lua ("players/gator.lua")'

There is no LUA help in the help files
the command load lua did light up in blue bold
there are lua files in the DBP folder.
Im running DBP v1.059

Anyone know whats wrong?

The top three points should all be installed during the installation. The fact that there's no help looks fishy.

Have you activated the plugin? The most common mistake is not activating the plugin - then it's not loaded at run time, and DBPro thinks the LOAD LUA isn't a command but a parameter. Then things get messy.

And can you confirm the lua DLL is in compiler/plugins-licensed?

I have AdvancedTerrain and LUA dlls in plugin-licenced
and report.ini

When I tried to activate it said "Product unknown"
I was told to get a later version of DBP
I installed b6.3 but them DBP would not start
I reinstalled 5.9 and then it worked again.
Then when I reistalled unity it did not give me the activation screen just a screen to modify,repairor remove files. I chose modify.

its buggered isnt it -.-

HELP!

ok report.ini says this

[VERIFICATION REPORT]
LUA.dll=NOT VALID

how do I re verify it?

when i re-run Unity install I just get a InstalWizard Modify/repair/remove screen and no activation key screen.

I'll try remove and then reinstall

OK it came back with activation screen and seems to have accepted activation code.

However after compiling and running program it bombs out back to the IDE.

Any ideas?

Oh dear,

I just checked plugins-licenced/report.ini again and it still says

[VERIFICATION REPORT]
LUA.dll=NOT VALID

and there is still no sign of LUA under the DBP help button
even though I saw the validation software say it validated ok!

Ok I dont think the bombing out is due to the LUA dll, I've taken the lua code out and it still bombs out must be something to do with uploading a new version :/

DOnt recommend installing 6 beta3 !!!!

[COMMON]
PathToEXE=Crogram FilesDark Basic ProfessionalProjectsQuest3DCrashOn_03_15_06.txt
[CEXE]
m_dwRuntimeErrorDWORD=Internal Code:0
m_dwRuntimeErrorLineDWORD=233

UPDATE! -----------------------------------------------
I traced it down to the file "Ninja\H-Ninja-Static.x"
for some reason whenit loads this object it bombs out now with v6b3

Hi - contact TGC support, they have experience with the activation system and can help you. Did you use the right order code / email address when running tgconline.exe?
