ok, i modeled an ak47, i animated it! but every time i put it into fpsc, and make a lvl with the gun and set the gun into the level and all that crap.... when i run the level and take up the ak47 I CANT SEE IT ON THE SCREEN???? i make my guns in 3dmax, i need to know how big the gun should be? and where on the screen in 3d max when i export it???

If imnot mistaken it should be centered, but from what I hear anything in 3dsmax that is exported gets rotated faceing down. so try rotateing it 90 degrees on its z axis if not 90 then 270. do this in the area defineing the gun in engine. You may have to play with the other values also(x and y axis)to get it just right.

JEEZ!You people just STFU! You waste more space complaining about people wasting space than the people your bashing! Man, I thought I had no life.

Don't feel bad.I can get guns working but I can't get them to show up so I think for the moment I'll just call it a psychic weapon since it can fire and kill.I just can't see it.
Weapons are a pain.

What I usually do for weapons is test the player weapon first. This is the one in gamecore\guns. Since that is your actual weapon and not the entity in the level.

In max set your system unit scale to inches and scale your model to that. Using PandaXporter, the weaopon is exported from 0,0,0 world coordinates. That being the player camera, position the weapon accordingly. In the max viewports - in top view gun should be pointing down. In Left view gun should be pointing your right.
