Hi,

I have been looking for a while, but cannot seem to find anything useful. specifically i am looking for - a MIDI In TPC for DBP.
i was hoping to be able to get the MIDI notes, and MIDI CC changes and MIDI patch change messages from my MIDI synthesizer/keyboard so that i could control some software using it..
does anyone know any way to do this? or have a DLL or TPC that would make this easy?
i was just searching the forum, and didn't return anything unfortunately.
I was hoping to make some kind of DBP sampler.

a little OT, but also: does anyone know where i can find a frequency listing for each MIDI key (0-127).

Thanks in advance (if anyone can help)

I read it.
My upcoming plugin will have Midi Out support, but not Midi In. I might add that later, but no promises as that doesn't seem to be a very popular feature request .

As for the key numbers, well the frequencies entirely depend on the tuning of your device. They key number 69 represents the A above middle C which is usually at 440Hz. Note 70 is one semitone higher, note 68 one semitone lower and so on. Provided you use the Equal Temperament with a reference frequency of 440Hz, the A below middle A is 220Hz the A above is 880Hz. Each tone in an octave is divided into a series of equal steps. So the ratio between two adjacent notes is 2^(1/12).

Interesting project. Correct timing of the output might be an issue, but still a very interesting project.

I just learned about frequency in science class. Middle C is about 262 Hertz, while each octave up or down doubles/halves the frequency, respectively. Higher frequency=higher pitch.
