Okay, everyone will always ask "can you have allies?" and this post will answer their questions...

Q: Can you get allies to help fight enemies?
A: No, the character that will follow you is still classed as an enemy, it just doesnt fire at you...

Q: Can you get allies to aim at enemies and fire at them, even if they dont hit?
A: Not that I know of, no...but then again im still a noob just trying to help out.

The one thing you CAN do is get an enemy to follow you and not fire... I will now teach you how...

Okay, first of all open up notepad (everyones got it!)
Copy and paste this into the pad:

desc = Chase

:nearactivatable=0:settarget,activatetarget=2
:losetarget=50:freeze,runfpidefault=1
:plralive=0:freeze,runfpidefault=1

:state=0,plrdistfurther=100:state=1
:state=0,plrdistwithin=101:state=2,animate=1
:state=1,plrelevfurther=10,plrcanbeseen=46,plringunsight:freeze,settarget,animate=1,state=0
:state=1:followplr=1,animate=5
:state=1:state=0

:state=2:rotatetoplr,resethead
:state=2:freeze,state=0

:state=4:incframe=6
:state=4,frameatend=6:state=0

:state=5,random=1:state=6,setframe=4
:state=5:state=7,setframe=3
:state=6:incframe=4,strafe=90,rotatetoplr
:state=6,frameatend=4:state=1,animate=1
:state=7:incframe=3,strafe=-90,rotatetoplr

Then go on File>Save as... Then save your notepad file in something like C;Program FilesThe Game CreatorsFPS CreatorFilesScriptbankplayer or wherever your scripts are (Change text file to all files and type in followplayer.fpi as the filename)

Then, go onto your game and insert an enemy entity, then right click it to preview its properties.

Set the "Main" option to the file you just saved and set "Shoot" to default.fpi in your main scriptbank.

Thats it! Now the enemy will follow you, and aim at you...thats the closest youll get for now!

I hope this helps all of you starting off out there, as I know what a struggle it can be on forums with constant replies to simple questions for others with "OMG you noob!" etc.

Yours in gaming,
Dan

(P.S if ive done anything wrong, please notify me!! Im still starting myself)

*Edit* This script WAS made by merravano, or how ever you spell it... I re-found the original post as credit.

Thanks for the help and explanation.

I'm not a noob but I'm not even sure about 2. It may actually be possible and it's a good idea, just faking the attack.

As for the script, people can save the copying of the message and just use the home.fpi script found in the people folder of the original fpsc scripts. That one works perfectly well.

Assin that one to your characters and they will follow you everywere.

Definatly wasn't me...
Merranvo or Mosillivo

I never use Freeze

They can fire their gun, without killing you, but it kinda looks dumb seeing them fire... Sometimes they will just be firing at the wall, so, it is gay.

:state=0,plrdistwithin=500:state=1
:state=1,plrdistfurther=500:followplr

I will link the old health medic too, if needed.

really, allies are do able, as long as their function is not to kill enemys... once that occurs, it gets messy.
