Hi all

I know that this has been ask many times and the ansawer in use the Dll, However have found this in searching
http://www.screenio.com/gui_screenio/gs_htmlhelp_subweb/advanced/windows-apis_printdlg.htm with no clue on how i could start to make it happen.

Is there anyone here with more experince in doing this, might get it to work.

Other wise just say give and hide in there corner.

I hope you can get an answer, HowDo. I asked the same thing not long ago. All I got was, "use the dll" for an answer. The link you provided looks to be for COBOL. I don't think it will be of much use for DBPRO.

What I was asking in my post was what dlls needed to be loaded from the Windows API (using LOAD DLL and CALL DLL) and what functions, parameters, and/or pointers needed to be accessed to do a screen dump. Nobody had a real answer. Frusterating...

I found some C++ source code that demostrates how to access the Windows Print Dialog. There is a compiled version as well as source and resource files. My C++ is a quite rusty, but I think it might be possible to write a brand new DLL for DBPRO based on it...

If any of you C++ gurus could take a look at it and give us some input, it would be greatly appreciated! I have included it here as a zip file.

<EDIT>

I sent Rob K. an email about this as a feature request for Blue GUI, but he is currently on vacation until April 20th. I guess we'll have to wait to see what he says about it...

Thanks,
D Ogre

D Ogre when you said COBOL the penny drop to what the .cob was for.

Now the strange thing is I have found this three ways and they all start to use Printdlg.

Tried to modfiy someones open file dialog box to use the option above, but when you are just guessing what does what can be hard to make the right guess.

What i did is in this section somewhere have a look you never know you may be able to make something happen.

Rob sent me an email back about my OpenPrintDialog() feature idea. He could possibly do that except a person would need to have another plugin (dll) that would actually do the printing part. Otherwise, putting this feature into BlueGui 2.0 wouldn't be of much use. I don't know if he is still thinking about it or not. If you read this Rob, my suggestion is to also incorporate the printing function into Blue Gui as well? This way the print function could be designed to be used specifically with the new open dialog command.
