your welcome, the textures are a bit messed up but I will fix that for the future. Right, the next pack will contain alot more weapons. Heres a list of what the next pack will contain...

-crowbar
-spade
-pointy stick
-rusty pipe
-fire extinguisher (as a bludgeon weapon only)
-rubber mallet
-combat knife
-police nightstick/baton/truncheon
-monkey wrench
-kitchen knife
-stun baton
-claw hammer

Thats all I can think of right now. Don't expect this pack any time soon because i'm going on holiday this friday. Just keep watching this thread.

Nice models and textures but animations are horrible. They should be faster. And it looks stupid when player pokes with spade.

Yeah I agree, but it looks stupider when he sort of twists his arm to attack with the crowbar. And it moves like,a frame a second on my computer.

The icon for the crowbar in the upper right corner is surrounded by black and stays there if you switch to the stick or spade. Also I agree with everyone on the animations, too slow and kinda funky looking. Still a great job though. It's nice to be able to get a melee weapon other than a sword for free off these forums. I look forward to the pack once it's finished and fixed

I think thats a bit too much, remember you have to consider other countries when you are setting a price, eg: i live in Australia so that $15usd would be about $25 aud ! (no deal if you ask me) and by the sounds of it you have been having a fare few problems, giving me the idea that its unreliabe, but then again dont listen to me i only got fpsc a week ago!

Great Job Opposing Force!!!

I love the models, but the animations.....bleh....

Way better than i could do anyways. I've been watching this thread for awhile and think i should say that the crowbar doesnt have very accurate aiming. Can you please try to make the hole appear where the tip of the crowbar hits. Don't strain yourself though...

it was just some constructive critisism.

ps. I own all the half life games, including HL, Blue Shift, Opposing Force, Counter Strike, HL Source, HL2, TFC, and a whole bunch of mods.!

ihave no doubt that you a half-life fanatic, it looks as though you have ripped the crowbar right out of the game, i hope your not using the half-life model/exporter program. if you arn't good job! and i share your sense of game quality! half-life for ever!

p.s-

put some jagged bits on the back of the knife, trust me i know.
it's the bit for cutting peoples necks.

Dark heart, crowbar has TEXTURE from HL. Someone else have though earlier that model is from HL.

Right, I did model the Crowbar my self. The texture came from Half Life yes and I used it as reference for when I modelled the weapon. At the end of modelling the crowbar I decided to use the picture to texture the model.

@Higgins: Thanks for the offer but I think I will be alright

@Sunday213: C:\WINDOWS\Files\gamecore\guns\modernday??? Shouldn't that be C:\program files\The Game Creators\FPSC\Files\gamecore\guns\modernday? Just wondering. Make sure you put the folder "melee pack" in your entity bank.

@Samuli: I am a bit busy with work and that but when I have finished the modelling then I will import them into FPSC and post the pack here.

yes give him time. Modeling isn't a fast process, especially when your giving free work. Because your freebies still reflect your quality. I'de rather have a model of a crate that took 3 days to make and be perfect rather than one that took three hours to make and was rushed.

He is modeling melee weapons and anyone who has tried to import weapons,let alone melee weapons,into FPSC knows what a pain it is.
I just spent hours importing a gun into FPSC and it was non-animated.
It's great to see such enthusiasm but these things take time.Try to have a little patience.
Look at it this way.The longer it takes,the better it will be.
He has posted a crowbar.Beat something up with that until the rest of the weapons are done.
Also remember FPSC wasn't really designed for melee weapons and he is giving the pack away free.

Thank you, FredP. True, it is a pain to import weapons into FPSC, and animating them is a pain also. It was only yesterday when I tried to import the fire axe and I messed it up. Please don't pester me to finish this pack. It only makes me feel more forced to finish it, and that degrades quality.

I find it very fun to import weapons and produce animations for them. I would take my time on it, maybe just ignore the complainers and moaners.

those are nice melee weapons but you need to work on the animations.
Also you have helped me loads co im like a noob at putting models in to FPSC and you put that readme file in and now have got working loads of models thnx.

About the pointed stick reminds me of the fruit skit by monty python you think you could make hundereds of different fruit then I could open a thread about how to dissarm a enemy carrying fruit but if he had a pointed stick that would be another story

What would peoples opinions be like if say, I decided to charge money for this Model pack? Or I can release two packs, a pack thats free that contains about 10 models and a pack that ian't free and has about 20-50 models in it. Just wondering.

I wouldnt pay any thing, but thats because I can model and animate my own weapons and get them fpsc ready.

Just sell it for what you want. People will buy it, if it is good enough and isnt way over the top on the price, as in £30 for 10 weapons.

But I really dont see why kids need money, they have their parents. If your 18+ then I understand.
