Hi,

I am new to DarkBasic, but NOT to programming in general. I use VB alot. Anyway I was wondering, I ordered BOTH the DVD boxed version of DarkBasic and DarkMatter and also the electronic version of DarkBasic. I was wondering when I will recieve my regcode. I ordered through PayPal yesterday afternoon. I hope I receive it before the demo version times out...(hint)

Thank you, and have a nice day

Anyway, it should come in with in a week or two.(It could be longer)

Cheers.

... why would you buy DarkBasic Lite if you've bought DarkBasic Boxed?

Ok let me explain myself,

1) I did NOT order the lite version, I ordered the electronic download version of DarkBasic WHILE I wait for the boxed version.

2) I ordered both the electronic and boxed version because I can. If you read my profile, I am a plumber (my real job) by trade and make around 28.00 dollars an hour.

3) I am not being foolish by ordering twice, I am serious about programming as I have a LOT of VB programming background and 3DRAD (another game programming tool) just doesn't cut it for me anymore.

Could I interest you in a boxed version of Visual Basic 6.0 Enterprise edition?

That is all....peace!

i thought the Electronic Download was the Lite version
i'm not saying you can't afford to, it just seems silly to order something twice (^_^)

having never ordered the download version - not sure how long the serial will take, but probably won't get it until Monday (as thats when Rich gets back)
as for the order'd version, from Amazon takes a few days, from DBS has been known to take a few weeks.

and i've got VB 6.0 SP5 Enterprise thanks (not that use it, came free with Visual Studio hehee)
i mean the demo should last around a month ... can't remember but the final trail they release only has a time lock doesn't it?

its good work... turn up around noon, say you'll need a part, fart-arse around for an hour or so... free tea/coffee - then you just rachet up the small leak they had

(oki sorry that was a joke i know alot of the time ya work hard, but sometimes you must get the rich houses where you just think "i'm gonna piss about for a while")

well... Raven, I know your joking but I would be careful what you type as alot of people will get offended, I come from a family of plumbers and builders and they ALL work considerably hard to have got where they are today, ofcourse there are some businesses that do like to charge ridiculous prices for work carried out, but don't let the 'minority' of the plumbing and building trade fool you. Anyway, it's a damn good career and it pays well

Don't worry I am not at all offended, I have gotten a lot of smart arse comments in my 18 years of plumbing work, you just grin and bare it (that's a pun) and I only weigh 152 pounds. I'm not your average stereotypical plumber.
I bought the electronic version (and it is the full version minus all the books and extra stuff) while I was waiting for the boxed version. I'm sure Dark Basic Software, Inc won't mind me buying both.

Oh BTW thanks for the regcode Rick!

Have a good one guys....
