Hey all, i made a small application in less than half day that can browse all the dbp projects (including Plugins/Games/Tutorials etc.)
i made that application so it will be a shortcut of all the downloads for dbp. it just displays a list of programs/plugins etc. that can be downloaded! it also got small donwload manager that i still not finished yet. although it CAN download files properly already. i still need to finish up the download manager here.. the download manager cant resume/pause files so you must download the file before u closing the application.
here is anotehr application bug; while the file downloading, you not able to close the application. if you will try to close the app while downloading, the app will minimize it self until the requested file will be downloaded.
anyways, there are lots of features in that application. like quick search, that searches in real time! no need to press on enter or anything! it just will display the match list for your search =]
the other feature, is that you are able to download multiply files via the download manager. not so useful though
i hope u all understood the point of the application. i got very bad english so if someone didnt understood something, just ask me again

if you wish to add your own Plugin/app/tutorial download into the app, just do next steps:
1) upload the file into your own web space
2) email me to sergy100@netvision.net.il with subject of "Add New Download". inside the mail letter, put download comments, download link, download version and if you want, you also can add your name into the comment "(Download By XXXX)".
if you want, u also can give me the Short-Size of the file (example: 100KB) and the full size (example: 102400 Bytes)
also, dont forget the Application name.

not even ONE reply for WHOLE day eh? =/

well if someone didnt understood what program does, so here is a quick explanation; this is a download browser of all the dbp stuff i included into it. u also can download the projects u want via the application (it could be Plugins/Apps/Games/upgrades and more)
you also can submit your own Project to me so i can add it into to dbp projects list..

Sounds good, I like the DLX part of the name, the rest is wierd. You know its like Steam (you know... Steam!) only its for dbp and not for valve's.. and other non-sensical games.

yeah but this app is includes the latest dbp stuff and u dont need to move a finger to find it.. its all inside a huge list (with search engine) in one single app..

I suppose it has some use. I could use it and save to a floppy to make use of one of my old floppies

I would say this application is pretty good considering that it is not the easiest to navigate through the forums to find the plugin you are looking for.

Not only is it difficult to find the proper thread with a download, a lot of the time there are tons of threads on the topic without the download. Sergey K is taking the time to put all these files into one central location.

I would say that the application needs improvements, like maybe a method to resume downloads at different parts of the day. Could be helpful for dialup users.

I don't know if I would be putting beta versions or demo versions of software into the list. Kind of a waste of time to shuffle through that crap. I would definately like to see all the popular full version releases of Dlls and games.

Just thought I would add my two cents.

well its just a small download app when u downloading it, u wont have to wait another second to read the comments/browse or even search. all of those stuff goes in real time speed inside the app

whats your problem? he made a decent app and you just make some stupid replies, did you even test it? and how does pressing ctrl+f in ie get you a list of all available downloads for dbp?

I looked at your application again. Either I have a buggy version or it is a problem you still need to take care of.

Some of the files seem to have merged together. Lets take the DBPro Update 6.1 for example. If you double click it, there are two files. One would be the actual update and one would be some file created by Nicolas R.

Should double check your list.

here is a small Fix:

this one should fix the problem with the Array bug. also, added some new bug fixes for the donwload manager.

anyways. this program works only on URL.
what you guys say if i will make a program like this that works only on FTP. that program will be more realiable and also each of you guys will be able to upload the files by your selfs!
although it will work a little bit slower than current version.

It looks good but it doesent seem to work, it gets stuck at 17 percent, when i try and download the shader pack

yeah well, i just understood that multidownloading + UrlMon + multithreading togeather, not goes whell.
so i guess the project is canceled until i will find any better method.

Havent finished yet,but i was trying to get it uploading files ONTO a filefront server and check the existing files on that to download them.

But well.ill just continue my Online Multiplayer game now.

i dont think its possible to make an uploader to filefront application and downloader from file front though =]


anyways, i think that project is temporary closed cuz of some downloading problems. maybe ill do something more easyer and better than this application.

Only had trouble dowloading sureusedlx0.2 and the shaderpack....
Seems a handy tool actually if all the right progs are added-like an "essentials for DBP" database perhaps ?
