The Mappy plug-in is now availiable from my website (http://www.nicholaskingsley.co.uk or http://homepages.nildram.co.uk/~nichkk).

This allows you to now use FMA and FMP map files, as created by the Mappy 2D map editor.

It can handle 8-bit (tested), 15, 16, 24 (tested) and 32 bit graphics, which, with FMP files, are automatically exported when the map is loaded, ready for use.

At the moment, the only problem I know of, is that nothing is done with animated graphics - mainly because the test program doesn't deal with them.

That will probably be sorted later on.

You may need MFC80 to be installed.

It took me a day, but I can finally display animated blocks - now I just need to get the animation update system going.

I'll start upgrading the plug-in to take the last of the useful commands (add & delete layers; copy and move & clear from layers). Also hope to be able to do a load map from memory routine as well.

And also start doing some documentation.

Its nearly ready - just need to test everything all again, and start doing the docs.

Glad you like it

Little known facts :

A) The chap who wrote Mappy was supposed to have updated his web site to add my version - but never did
B) I've got a version for PureBasic. That version is somewhat hindered by the fact that bitmaps dont have transparancies...

Awesome, this is one of the sweetest plugins I've ever seen! I've needed something like this for a long time!
