The forum now supports .png wich is small and acceptable and keeps the same clarity as a .bmp I hate .jpg as well for all the "artifacts" it leaves in the pic, so I completely sympathise.

We have replaced the images the general and the scientist,
The fault has been mine,, when putting imagery of rejected models.

I think it was .jpg artifacts leaving trace squiggles and such making surfaces look less smooth. it's really noticeable in large areas with the same color.Like the orange in the background.

-I think that Disturbing 13 has explained it perfectly.

-If you do a render in JPG, you are loosing quality in the image in this moment, You will must to do the renders in a format that dont loose quality, like TGA, and only compress the imagen of the final composition.

@dimoxinil - like I said , try useing a .png, the forum now accepts it, it's very small, and has the same quality as .bmp and no artifacts
