All posts are locked for a reason.
1.Quote
"will a MOD delete this thread please?"
2.Quote:
"I'm sorry guys, but all the files I created for Sin City have been deleated tried everthing to get them back."
3.Quote:
"I figured I'd start a new FPSC project and abandon this one."
Those are the reasons those threads got locked, not necessarily in that order.
The original poster asked the thread be deleted, someone lost their files and said they would remake the game in DBP and someone scrapped their project.
If you find anything unreasonable about that please let me know.

I would have locked it or deleted it without explanation as I am not so accommodating as FredP - but its a matter for FredP to decide on this one now.

You are likely to see me take a tougher stance in this way from now on.

No, not at all - a general reference.

I refer to Mods justifying their actions where no justification is necessary. I will do whats necessary without explanation.

In my case at least I am not going to get into any kind of debate about it.

In that case I dont know why I should post the next bit but to clarify my own position once and for all as I cant keep repeating myself.

Theres no hidden agenda in a Mods Actions :

Just so everyone understands - There is nothing personal in a mods actions so they should not be taken so. Mods have a job to do - they have been asked to do it and accepted the responsibility. Its a heavy one. I have already lost one good friend here who has taken actions of mine as a Mod as being a personal afront to himself personally, when that was not the case. Thats unfortunate and I very much regret it. However its the penalty for being even handed and having no favourites (as suggested) which one cannot allow oneself to have - thats a pre-requisite of the responsibility.

I once remember Merranvo once saying, and he will remeber this - that as a Mod one may have to take an action against a fellow colleague or user here that might be a good friend on the forum "could you do it? he asked" Well the answer is to be a Mod you have to be able to do it - as hard as it might be. A Mod cannot allow personalities to influence any judgement and they dont.
