I was just thinking all other forums have competitions, and I havn't seen any for dgsdk. I was just wondering how everybody feels about having compo's here? It will also raise the profile of dgsdk.

I totally agree, although the competitions hosted by TGC in the past, have not necessarily been focussed on Dark Basic Pro. Either Dark GDK or DBP/DBC are used.

Is there not a new competition been promoted, mentioned in the last news letter, or was it the one before?

Yeah true, its just dgdk doesn't get mentioned in the news letters very often and having a dgdk specific compo to bring out some nice works may get some more publicity and make tgc realise that dgdk users are still alive
