I was wondering whether there is a method to show which version of directX is installed on the hosts computer. any ideas will be appreciated. cheers.

hubdule showed us a while back and im sure mr tatoad had a plugin or a sample


just print out this variable to see the result : DirectXVersion$

yes... through DLLs or even from the Windows Registration
i can leave you to figure out the details and is it pretty worthless knowing this for DarkBasic Standard/Enhanced
