Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and was wondering if you guys could help me out. I ordered DBPro alittle over a week ago and was wondering if anyone knows how long it usually takes to get to a U.S. address. I live in Connecticut.

Mine took about a week to come too. They ship it from somewhere in the UK if you order it from this website. Just be patient and think about games you would like to make until it comes.

I ordered mine from RGT's and it still took about 1.5 weeks.

Yeah about two weeks sounds right.

Anyone know if that character FX is any good?

Compare it to milkshape.

All I know is milkshape is good ,license free (once you register) and about 20 bucks.

I really would like to know about CharacterFX as well, it may just be an animation proggy though. Still looks nice!

EDIT: After a quick post, I came up with this.... From the CharacterFX website...http://www.insanesoftware.de/

CharacterFX is a character animation tool, created for gamers, artists, modellers and hobbyists. It allows you to breathe live into your meshes using skeletal animation and advanced tools like Inverse Kinematics or Weighted Vertices, but still it is easy enough to use for all levels of computer graphic artists.

CharacterFX is especially usefull for game developers who need an affordable animation solution. It comes with exporters that allow you to easily get your animated characters into DarkBasic Professional or Blitz 3D, and a SDK is available allowing custom import and export filters.

If I've been using DB is it worth it to buy DBP now?

Especially since they're giving away free charcacter FX?
New patch out for DBP also.

Although I hear DBP is buggy.

Is now the time to buy??

CharacterFX 1.x $15.00 USD Thats pretty cheap but free is better. The offer started 1st of Mar. I bought DBP before the date by a couple of weeks , I'll see if I can whine and cry like a baby to get it.
Yello- it really depends on what you want, if you're really in to it get the pro,There are a lot of things you can't do in DB standard. Sure there are going to be bugs but it should get better.
If ya do you should be able to get it for around $84.00 with proof of DB.
