I was reading a post called "GMax Free???" I think, and I noticed many people complaining about licenses and other stuff.I agree to some extent,BUT I created this topic for all of us to post any Totally free, programs with no licensing fees, free for commerical use, etc.

DarkBasic (I think it's $39 to purchase, but free for commercial use.)
DarkBasic Pro (I think it's $99 to purchase, but free for commercial use.)

I start with these two to remind us of this great program.

milkshape-Good modeler/animator ($20 to purchase, but free for commercial use.)

wings3d-Good for making spaceships

Please post any other programs you'd like to share.

Aztec is a free open source modeler that's very promising and feels like Max and Maya...A lil' bit buggy so far but worth a look.

How can you make anything like that in wings3d? When I got wings3d, I can only make cubes.

Get some reference picture, wings has a good feature for using those.

Go to http://www.fineart.sk for references and http://coldfusion.art.msstate.edu/camenisch/thehumanhead/ for some nice head concepts and realistic displays.
