Hey guys, what is the difference between the OBJECT HIT and OBJECT COLLISION commands?
Does anybody actually know? Are they synonyms for each other?
Ending a sentence with a French word is so passé

Absolutely not!!

get object collision is kinda tricky at first to understand I guess, but once you call that, think of the program as frozen, at that point in time. It knows now whether a given object and another are touching or not.
Now you can use get object collision x() to adjust automatically the positions on the x axis so they "slide" against each other, and won't just pass through (in theory *chuckle*). If you do that on all axis',(x,y,z) you get a kind of collision that is quite useful for things like characters running into walls or jumping on platforms, funnily enough called sliding collision

the object hit command just tells you when two objects have touched, but doesnt't do anything about it, good for a bullet for instance

Go into the help menu in db and look up the example on sliding collision, it's worth knowing. Also, you can answer questions like this yourself by looking up that stuff, it really helps to print all of it out, if you don't have a printed manual.
