Disturbing 13,
Aye - just dont have the feature supoprt as yet.
Neither would such an entity do much for the fps currently so any help there would be more than useful.
There is a need for animated water in many instances certainly e.g. river, waterfall and even using the current decal some good effects can be achieved - the quality of animated decal being very much related to the hard work put in in making it as well as overcoming the current speed restrictions.
In many instances of course little or no movement may be required as indoors as FPSC is designed for water could be stagnant and relatively unmoving - still splashing would be nice - eh!
What we will be asking for animated grass next, and wind tunnels - now thats not so hard to do - I can hear you think now.
But seriously - better water simulation can exist now in FPSC than any examples that have currently been seen here. It jsut a matter of effort and some greater thinking power - at least I believe so.
I still have some ideas which will be looked at following any update if TGC make no improvements in this area - otherwsie its back to the drawing board.
Currently whatever can be achieved its just really not going to be quite good enough. FPSC is good in some things but some bad things like badly implimented water decals or entities will stick out like a sore thumb in game.
Best option currently is to use either a decal or an entity with attached decal and make them square at any scale you want then you have a one piece water block. This limits the design if you cant work that in.
Animated textures would solve a lot of problems and such support should be realtively easy for TGC to provide if they have the will and time to provide it - I may be wrong of course.
Have to wait till I get the source I guess - after the update perhaps depending upon what it updates if anything - after we can see whats what. No point in starting and starting again after an update as far as I can see.
