I need help with this. when you animate .x files using milkshape3d, the joints dont disconnect but when you put it in darkbasic the joints disconnect. Is this the same for dbpro? is there a way around this?

Yes...By not using joints/limbs but deformations,it's better looking i.e:making a torso look like the character is actually breathing and other cool stuff.

If you're still using DBC,you can follow the Milskhape tutorial made for this purpose, just let me find it first...I know Kensupen made it tough.

you mean actually have whole different models for each frame of animation? Wouldn`t this take up loads of space?

By the way, if you make a boned model in a modelling program, is there a way in DBPRO to tell it the rotations of each joint instead of loading animations? I know you can do this with separate objects/limbs, but would like to (when i get dbpro) do it with the seamless joints animation.

oh yeah in answer to the first question i think you need dbpro to do this- or write your own code in memblocks- too much work there.

Perhaps you could make various joint objects like knees etc in different angles, and just have single objects for between joints bits, and stick these all together in the game.

Why don't you use 3dcanvas it's such a good and easy to setup animation program?

Hmm I'm not exactly sure what you're doing, as I don't really use milkshape.
I am assuming you linked the limbs together, and if that's impossible in milkshape, try doing it in db, by using the link limb commands.
just a suggestion
