This program will solve any Rubix in around 100 moves, and show you how to do it. You can mix it up yourself or randomize a cube or even set it to match a real rubix cube you own and have it solve it for you.

Dj Thunder: What do you mean "Have you used ARRAY ?" If you're asking if I used an array, yes, quite a few actually.

Dj Thunder: I was thinking about adding click and drag to rotate the Rubix yourself. I haven't gotten to it. You can however try to solve it yourself by pressing the 1-9 keys on the keyboard. It was listed in the Controls.rtf file if you had read it.

Really cool, that is an amazing program.
I just wish I could find my real rubix cube now to test it.

Do not ask what the forums can do ask what you can do for the forums.

Neato! Can't wait 'till I get home so I can try this!! Awesome!

Edit: Really cool! Must have taken a while to code it to solve it in that small amount of moves. The only problem I had is that it doesn't accept any input as its solving. I can't alter the speed, or even quit.

Yeah, that's because I didn't program any escape keys while it's solving. As for the not being able to change the speed, I also didn't do that because it was going to cause problems. I'll try to fix all of that tonight while I'm adding the ability to rotate the cube sections yourself using the mouse.

Cool.

Did you add a way to set the Rubiks type? The one you have in the app has white opposite yellow--- which was the original type. The Rubik's I bought last year has white opposite blue.

I enjoy solving my cube every day at work-- which method do you use for this?

Jeku: If you paint the grid on the right according to your rubix cube, then hit the Set Cube button, it should still be able to solve it. As for the method used, I broke the Rubix into 2x2 sections and worked from there, I forget the name of the method exactly at the moment.

I have also added the ability to click and drag sections of the cube to rotate it now. You can change speed while it rotates, and exit while its solving or rotating in general. The link is the same as my first post so just redownload it.

Rubbish! Everyone knows the fastest way to solve a rubix is to take the stickers off and stick them back on again in the right place! 100 moves!??!? Bah!!

No seriously, nice work. Clever app, and nice backdrop too.

Wow... great. Maybe you should add the option to pause, so that I've time to solve my rubix while looking, what the program does with it.
