This was my entry for the text adventure compotition, and although I didn't win, I think I did good.

This version (if I got the right one ) is the same version as the one I submitted because I want the opinion of everyone on the same version, so it has a few grammar bugs, including one with the "use" command, so no need to point that out to me.

Good luck playing my first real game that I have completely finished, although I have worked on many others. Be careful, 'cause it's hard!

Ok

Sorry. It was just too funny

It really wasn't that hard. It was pretty easy. I get your point about it being challenging. It wasn't so easy it had me bored. but it was still pretty hard. I fell for the kitchen trap . I liked the use of listen, smell, and think commands. They were cool and helpful.

I got all the way to when you are with the escaped prisoners. I just couldn't find the right think to say. I tried things from "Say I am ready" to "Ok". This is one of the mistakes many text adventure makers make. It makes it unplayable. The rest was really good, very little of "How should I word this??" Until that part when I couldn't go on...

Good job, and its a very good first "real" game.

Thanks. That bug is pretty funny.

As for the prisoner part, sorry, I forgot to add more possibilites. It probably would of worked if you had said "I'm ready", "let's go now", or "i've eaten".

If you think that was funny, just wait till the end of the game! Do you like riddles?

Thanks a lot! I don't want to force you to try to finish it, but I'll just say that the end is funny.

Lol, I walked streight into the kitchen and lost the game, and thats how far Ive come. Its not hard in the way that an FPS like Republic Commando is, but instead you have to try and figure out what to say and things like that. Nice work.

I hope they are good at riddles

I thought first the riddles would be very difficult, especially for a non-natively english speaker (as I am). But I managed to answer 7 of them.

Thanks, I liked it

Glad you guys enjoyed it, thanks for trying.

By the way, it's not like I haven't made any DBP games before. I've started and progressed far and countless DBP projects. This is the first one that I finished.

Very good!

A few bugs/needed improvements

When you get the file, I had no idea what to use it on, I tried bars, cell door, door and everything. When I found out that it was lock, and escaped, it said that I should get out but didn't say that the exit was to the west or that you didn't have to do anything else. When it said that I had given the prisoner back the file, it was still in my invantry; however, when I said give file to prisoner, it said that I don't have a file. When I found the bread, I ate some and tried to take more. It said that there was no reason for this, but the bread still appeared in my infantry.

Those are the things I found before getting caught in the kitchen

edit:
Also, in the bit where you are in the kings room and have to escape, it's impossible if you don't know exactly what to say. I tried think, and did what it said, but it didn't work

Also, if you do an action which hasn't you haven't programmed, it uses the last noun used for that verb. There is also a problem with the infantry/exits info

Yes, i confirm
Its a very good idea. I Like it.

And what is attractive is that we must to imagine the scene !
If it was in 3D ... no player's imagination !

You should wrote a lot in your program (not DB Code, but real text) ...
But the result is fun

Great job on that Uncle Sam makes me want to make a text adventure. There are a few bugs in it but it was still good. You should also make it so its not case sensitive using the lower$ command to change the things we input lowercase. I played the whole thing to All that wizard cared about was food...

Naruto is the ninja...not really

Thanks guys.

Yea, I know there are lots bugs, but it seems relatively playable, because I sent it to someone, and he was able to guess what things to say and such.

Runtime Error: Only positive numbers are allowed at line 1066 or something like that. I was at the part where tha fat man and I are in a cave with that pot and I am trying to say I'm ready. But then it shut off!

Oh well it was fun while it lasted Thanks for the help along the way, I think you ought to add saving.

Good job Diggsey!

Sixty, I don't know why that happened, I don't think it has happened for anyone before, and just at the end, the best part!

I tried saving, but I was close to the deadline for the compo, and it was so complex.

Thanks for playing all!
