Not that I'm suggesting you stop, because this looks very cool indeed, but it can already be done with igLoader (and DBPro 6.2 is compatible with this)

That isn't all it does, but I'm curious - how would you expect it (or anything like it, including the program in this thread) to work any differently? They have to download and run the EXE at some point. The clever part is writing the plugin to allow correct embedding into the browser.

i looked at IGloader Developpers edition, and well.that just loads it from a local computer.

and Pro i heard of someone that uses it it downloads the app like windows does to like C:/Program Files/MyGame/MyGame.exe and then runs it.

You'd do well to look at it a bit more carefully if you think that is all it does.

Richard you are right, the embeder i'm making does in a sort the same as the igloader does. But i made this because i don't really want to pay a "$59.99 per title license"(in the case of igLoader). If i can doit, why not doit by my self. For my concern, to this day only igloader and grasshoper(bl**tz) do this. And now BD Web Embedder.

As an extra content.. The socond part of my proyect will be(figuring out)running the application on Windows Media Center and in this way running it from my Xbox 360's media center. For now it only calls the html page but the applicanion nevers loads. But this is another story.

Wow, this is cool. I was interested in igloader but like you said it's too expensive for freeware games. Good luck

But if you're thinking this will run on a 360, then think again hehe.

Well this probably wont take off because your essentially running exe`s, and we all know what type of exe`s some people love to make, wasnt this the reason why flash was made?.

I intended to make this for use DBP Exe's only, as you need to add some additional coding to it. Not as igloader that actually can run any exe you can use using an xml file.

So this lets you run the game via a webbrowser? Its there any slowdonwn? This sounds very cool! So...it can still run shaders, ageia's physics and everything in the browser!?

Also, will there be an ability to add ads in the webpage?

I'd assume it's a regular plug-in that runs inside a browser, so you can put your own ads there like you would any regular webpage.

This definitely sounds good! Being able to embed dbpro exes into web pages will be awesome!

And, i agree - somebody said something about igLoader, and it sounded really good, but I went to the website and it was $60, and I said "hmm... maybe not THAT good..."

Evidently yes, but I have no clue why. I know several people that had WAY bigger sigs then me, and they still have them. It seems like once a month, no matter what my sig is, it gets erased

Hi to all, Sorry for not post any news the last week, Too much work in my real WORK, and my Computer's Mother Board and TV are fried by a lighting Storm.

I get a new motherboard and going to continue my work on DB Web Embedder today.

Today i'm releasing my prototype project. Attached to this post. This release is not by far the final proyect and does not reflect the real status of the proyect to this day.

- For now you can do whit it anything, that hasn't have the commercial word on it. This Means Nothing commercial whit this prototype please, This Release it's Super Bugy, Menu items don't work.

ENJOY..

To-do:

- I'm changing some of the routines in the embedder so this way works more like igloader(R). Adding This way support for Windows Media Center. And hopefully run in Xbox 360 Media Center.

- For the before reason , I’m editing the DB Embedder Tool to remove some unnecessary options.

- Adding to Embedder Tool the option to create the Window Media Center .mcl file automatically.

- Adding Any Other thing that gets in my mind that make's you happy....

The program does not search for the tools automaticaly. If is what you mean. The program check for a file named Tools.cfg, that is created the first time the program runs. That File need to be populated before use the program using the Update Tool that opens after the MessageBox. You can do any of the followings.

If the program find that a tool is missing, it suposed to open the Update Tool after a Pop Message explaining it.

In the Update Tool, You can download the program or if you have them already, You can try finding the Missing File:

- Select The Missing Program from the Top List
- Press Find File and Browse For It or Them.
- Press OK.

If this isn't working, you can try editing the tools.cfg manually.
Open the Filie and edited as follow:

"ProgramName"ProgramDirectoryExecutable.exe

Notice that there are no spaces between Programname and Directory.

Examples:

"XVI32"CarkBasicWebToolsXVI32XVI32.exe
"ResHacker"CarkBasicWebtoolsResHackerResHacker.exe
"7-Zip"CarkBasicWebtools7-Zip7za.exe
"GoRC"CarkBasicWebtoolsGoRCGoRC.exe

GoRC - is used by the application to make the resource file and copiled, so can be write to the plug in.

Awesome work. Looks great and very nifty.

I would never use/run this however because when it downloads the program whats to stop it deleting files or collecting information?

Does it not download the program then run the program from the computer but it gets displayed in the browser instead of a window? (thus having the same privilages as the user logged in).

It would be very easy to make a virus. But really, it's worth the risk to me. And who knows, maybe there will be some security features that come with this program... such as alerting you that the .EXE is trying to make/delete/edit a file. Then you could choose to abort or continue the program... that would be nice, but who knows... Is it even possible?
